I wonder where he learnt that word from...
Kid shouting **** at Mayor Khan whilst sat on some guys shoulders
It's not cherry picking, they do it all the time. Doesn't matter what the subject is or what the victims might think.
it literally was cherry picking - I'm open to the idea that they do but that does require evidence not anecdotes/cherry picking
perhaps if this has been studied and a paper published etc.. rather than relying on your own preconceived notion of certain publications being the bad guys and therefore should be banned - which is essentially what the other poster seemed to have been arguing for
They should be banned when used as a news source, I'm 100% for that,
All on Sky news just, live and they didnt cut the live feed, i was suprised they didnt cut it but glad they didn't because it shows the serious anger, someone mentioned riots earlier, im thinking the same after some of the things i have seen and watched, i hope not.I wonder where he learnt that word from...

cool... another great argument
What word was it?
Commander Stuart Cundy - Metropolitan police said:Cundy said some victims of the fire may never be identified and that he hopes the death toll will not reach over 100. He said six bodies had been found outside the block of 120 flats, another 11 dead are inside. He declined to say how many are missing, and that it was not “inevitable” the death toll will reach triple figures.
This really cannot be argued, they are worst source for news in this country. Constantly being sensationalist, not bothering to actually fact check so they can push the story out ASAP and just outright lying claiming news from a 'source'. This of course is shown when the more reputable outlets actually WAIT for more information, but sites like Daily Mail subsist on clicks and newspaper sales. So they have a FINANCIAL INCENTIVE to do it.

That was me, and after watching sky news over the last hour it certainly could happen. Anger will be directed towards the government/councils.
Tempers are rising, they are still shouting now.
yes, I get it, you don't like them etc..etc.. but the argument previously was to ban them and the Sun in relation to them posting gore... I simply asked if there was evidence to suggest that those two publications are particularly worse than others... so far we've had the cherry picked example of some pictures form Manchester and some general rants about them being very naughty newspapers...
frankly wanting to ban newspapers you don't like in a free society is very dubious
Seems to be quite a bit of tension at the moment :s
I gave you reasons why they're worse than the others. If Wikipedia thinks the same, then there should be no debate on their reliability as a news source. You're stuck in your ways as always anyway so no point debating further on it.
Seems the Daily Bigot has outdone itself!
