Tower block fire - london

This will be the reason she only met with firefighters, knew very well she would be made the scapegoat. That reaction there would have happened initially as well. I mean, do you think those people's anger in that video is because the prime minister didn't visit? No, it's because they blame her for this tragedy.

If the building was working correctly, the fire should have been contained in the flat of origin for an hour, and the floor of origin for longer. That should have been enough time to bring it under control.

We need to understand why it wasn't, as well as reviewing the advice and considering whether we should even permit single stairwell residential dwellings over a certain height.

I'd imagine people had their windows open so the fire was funnelled up between the cladding to open windows on each floor and their curtains caught fire plus in the original flat the tenant allegedly left their front door open.

No she was attacked for the timing.... OMG it's not hard to grasp!

Even the Queen beat her to it...

Right, so because she chose to visit firefighters first, while the residents where being visited by corbyn and the queen.
Then visted them after its a heinous crime?

How much if a cluster **** for security would a PM, leadership of the oposition and royal vist combined have been?

And you say "even" the queen, as if that is very slow. I mean I suspect the queen is a little more free with her time than the leader of the country.

I'd have thought that there wouldn't have been an open gap around the windows into the cladding but a flame proof/very fire retardant seal/frame between them.

Just as common sense surely?

Because it was part of the planning application to the council to enhance the aesthetics of the building to those in surrounding areas.

indeed though that seems to have just been one aspect, the documents posted earlier seem to indicate various works from works to the grounds (new plants, cycle store), the building - cladding added, windows were replaced, new housing/flats were built in the open space beneath the tower etc..

she was attacked for not going then attacked for going... the reason she was a bit reluctant to go in the first place can be clearly seen by the scenes that greeted her when she did go

the Queen was good with this one and is non-political, in the past she's faced criticism though for not reacting to things like the Dianna crash, the Aberfan disaster etc..

lol

She was pictured shopping at waitrose just after the election.

lol

So it was a requirement to beautify the building in order to get planning permission from the council for renovations?
Quite possibly it was yes.

Remember this is a council block of flats, the people in there probably don't really have a choice in living there.

You're losing this argument fast.

Dude, come on.

Poor Theresa not wanting her feeling hurt when families and children are dead.

It's not about that. She would be quite willing to meet people, i'm certain of that, but what is the use if you're just going to get abuse and potential physical violence. Literally, what is the point?

There are 65 million people in this country, we're on the verge of the brexit deals, instead of wasting time with people that have been riled up the incorrect way by that little rat, Corbyn. Why not focus on the greater good?

I think your losing the plot tbh.

Because she went to do her shopping 3 days after the election she should have what, visted the residents before the firemen?

I honestly don't see the concection between somone doing thier shopping on a Sunday afternoon and this.

get real, she couldn't of practically got down there quicker then the agitators could have arranged a reception for her

It obvious what you really wanted... you would have loved it wouldn't you...... to watch some footage of May being ambushed dare I say maybe even assaulted by some angry mob demanding answers and solutions that just aren't available in reality.....

As it stands you settle for calling her a coward when even lefty Sadiq Khan had a bottle thrown at him by a baying mob when he made (an early) visit
