Tower block fire - london

Dude, come on.

It's not about that. She would be quite willing to meet people, i'm certain of that, but what is the use if you're just going to get abuse and potential physical violence. Literally, what is the point?

Then why didn't she? The reaction to her was due to her not meeting people in the first place.

No it wasn't. It's quite clear that emotional leakage from protestors was not due to her visiting them, it was due to the fact, they blame her for this. It's absolutely what Corbyn has been doing this whole campaign, divide and conquer, that incites violence

I mean I suspect the queen is a little more free with her time than the leader of the country.
I think your losing the plot tbh.

Because she went to do her shopping 3 days after the election she should have what, visted the residents before the firemen?

I honestly don't see the concection between somone doing thier shopping on a Sunday afternoon and this

You contradict yourself.

She was damned either way.

As mentioned above, just look at the treatment of the mayor.

People just want to lash out and blame anyone they can, nothing positive would have come out of May visiting residents.

weirdness

Err how does the pm having time on a sunday to go shopping have to do with her normal working week?

I go shopping on thw weekend too, mainly because I don't have time with work in the week.

Or are you saying we need a personal weekend shopper for the pm?

Just to be clear here easy you are saying because the PM had time to go do her food shopping on a weekend, she has no apointment, meeting or obligations monday to Friday so she can just drop everything for a photo op?

See my post #1601 for info on my background. Then please explain in detail, your comment on why the fire service are not 'blameless'. Genuine question.

At this point I'll say I can see no likely reason that those on the ground, despite offering advice that appears massively wrong are in anyway likely to be to blame (in fact I feel massively for those who did their jobs and saw this outcome). The fact that I can't say the service are blameless on the whole doesn't imply blame, but it will be important to find out if/if not the service were involved/aware of the changes to this/these buildings!

Why are you linking May's visit with people and the actual event. It's bizarre. It's clear he was meaning no positive would have come out of the meeting of the people. There are two separate events there..

At times of crisis and disaster I wasn't aware of the PM clocking in and out system

Of course nothing positive would have come out.....People are dead.

Thats not the point. Just showing some connection with fellow Londoners was all that was needed.

She showed Divide.

I think the 'connection' you would have liked to see is May be assaulted by either some rent a mob agitator or some emotional, bereaved person wound up by aforementioned agitator .... I am wrong? I bet you would have had a big smirk if you had seen that?

I think you are nieve to think she wouldn't have been just subjected to a bunch of random abuse.

As mentioned before even the new Mayor was abused.

Really? YOu really are struggling to get it?

Just clarify first before I waste anymore of time :p

I'm not suggesting for one minute she wouldnt get abuse.

Kensington was won by Labour

But her not going to meet the community is the black and white issue.

Nothing else.
