I got another naginata, put it in the weapons rack. Also, @melmac go to the bulk cooking room and check the shelves, I've delivered some arrows

I also found myself a katana I believe . Can 1 shot a chicken with a one handed strike. 2 handed it's about equal to the large 2 handed axe against tree men. I suspect the axe gets a bonus against them though (or at least not a disadvantage). Wonder how it'll be against worms.
Need to try and setup an axe/pickaxe tool now.

I think the massive hammer heads, on 2 handed handles, could be the best way to approach the rock men. Maybe pick axe heads on 2 handed handles could do it too.

I just bravely ran away from the mythril monster too. He's quite nippy...
I cleaned up the mess, picking up the rocks and coal you left. Did a chest run. Got a 2 length wooden handle I've not seen before. 2 more bits of iron from a bucket, and nothing much else interesting.

8 total, you can remove them after, but you lose most the experience by doing so, so have to build the level back. You do therefore need to be careful on what skills you choose, and it does make sense to have people focus a bit on individual professions.
We don't really need to be absolute specialists. There's only a few fighting skills you sort of need. And also, the gathering skills for woodcutter and mining etc, are perhaps not that important either. Though equally you could argue they're the best skills to have, since saving a few strikes of a pick is OK, but saving a few minutes of bending over picking up... .

"Lots of iron and gold ore" may be exagerating a little. We had enough for 4 iron bars... and another 3? gold ones...
Still a long way from getting to the climbing tower though. Think the next focus needs to be the mines now. Maybe the forest a bit too if there's more wood we need.

When I say wood I mean specialist wood. Though we should have some birch trees at the mountain pass too we can chop.

Don't think it's that much for the little ones. I say we rush down to a crystal level asap. Get as much as we can (100+ I suppose), then rush to level 10, and worry about the rock there.
If we find them before finding the way down, definitely, more recipes is more better.

However, we made it! Got to level 10, found the televator shrine, but no crystals. Went to 11 (thankfully quite close) and found enough crystals to get them all built. Depending on how it works, it may only be enough to teleport 3 of us next time though.
However, we might want to wait for the mines to respawn, or we just try and find our way to 12 etc, since 11 now looks empty.

Do we know if our pickaxes and axes are iron or copper? We could do with making sure equipment is now all iron.

I'm not worried about someone trying to go down to lvl 10/11 etc by themselves if they want. But we need to make sure that we can get 2 people down at once to work together to gather crystals if it gets too dangerous.

I think you can use them for free to return. But then it doesn't take much to refill teleport potions either.
OK, I was just in for a little while. Didn't use any iron, but would like to suggest it get's used to make 4/5 more pickaxes (I think they're 5 a piece, but it might be 4).
There's some handles (I assume) that I don't know what they are in the carpentry, and a weird thing like a wax stamp for letters in the crafting book?
Made myself an ore pouch too, ore tends to be really heavy, so figured that's a good one for helping with weight issues.

From the wiki "The Ore Pouch also negates some of the carry weight that the items would normally have by 50%."
It can fit 150 ore in each of the pouches.
