Toyota Yaris GR4 4x4 Rally going into production.....

I was being rather hard on it.. Launches, slides, handbrake, quick shifting etc. but my Subaru doesn't have a problem with that ;)

I would expect that it's down to me being particularly hard on it and it will rarely be an issue for some unless smashing launches left right and centre.

Sure it wasn't the LSDs overheating? Electronic ones overheat easily and aren't really for hard driving. I thought they were using mechanical ones though (especially on a car like this). Still possible I guess :/

I think it has some sort of center drive coupling with a clutch pack, it's probably that which is over heating. It should be mechanical torsen diffs front and rear.

I'm assuming the GRY rear drive is "on demand" system, as in not permanent. Depending on the mode is how much it apportions to the rear, the rest of the time it will be a FWD. Otherwise the clutch pack would over heat just going along on a motorway etc. Same logic as the FRS which is an on demand system, which over used on a track has been known to over heat apparently, if you do too much drifting.

My Mrs got me the TRD carbon pack for the interior as Valentines present. :D

Still don't have the car yet. :D
Planning to wrap the car in InoZetec Dandelion also. :)

Interested to see how the interior carbon pack looks, certainly could help lift the interior.

The photos look good but I’ll post some up.
My car has arrived in U.K. now, dealer rang saying it should be with them end of this month and said we assume you want to collect first week of March on a 71 plate to which I agreed.

Looking forward to picking it up! :)

Not as much in it as I was expecting to be honest.

Thought the same, also not keen how it seems a bit less responsive, but could just be the two drivers not in sync. I will leave mine stock anyway for at least first 1000 miles, let it run in properly according to the manual, then if at 1000 miles I love the car the mods can begin, if I do not probably sell it but doubt the latter.

Maybe a proper map will yield better results? Really surprised it only gains 10nm of torque as well.
