Sky are reporting that Schneiderlin has handed in a formal transfer request. Reports elsewhere say he has refused to train with Southampton today.
 
What's going on at Southampton lol? Isn't there a minimum amount of players you're meant to have? Also who the heck are they going to field, a bunch of inexperienced reserves?

One world cup and you think he's the best box to box midfielder in the world? Odd I didn't see any of you clamouring for him last season. Or is it just a recent thing thst he's become the best since we were linked with him?


We aren't rich enough to do what real did with figo and zidane who were actually two of the best players in the world legitimately.

And now when breaking records they buy much younger. .
 
People were talking about Vidal a lot last summer :confused:

I love how at one point you complain we sign young players then when it appears we might going after the finished article you still complain! You'd think after following football for all this time sheer dumb luck would give you some knowledge. I think my mum knows more about football than you.

Ah right. Funny that how by incidence it was you guys who were adamant that signing a young keeper was a fantastic idea. But now it's a midfielder it's far better we buy more experienced and break our record fir a player who will have basically a zero vakue at the end of his contract.

Like RVP.

Whereas buying at 24-25 means you can sell after 3 or 4 and at least recoup something.

Im not saying buy am 18 year old unknown. Just someone who is coming up to their prime with a potential to sell on afterwards or keep for many years.

If I search last year or the year before transfer threads will I find any shamikebab 'vidal wanted' or 'vidal for ballon dor' comments?

He's not as good defensively as Vidal, but he's got a better shot on him.

You know what, you're right. The recent sale price of a 27 year old footballer has nothing to do with a discussion about the potential value of a 27 year old footballer. Silly me.

All of these are decent players still (for how long, who knows) on Southampton roster. I don't think they will go down next season and I'm really looking forward to Graziano Pelle in the PL. They can't sell many more players though.
