Dont be silly, none of them will end up at Arsenal instead we will get some unknown french ligue 2 player who has spent most of his career on the injury table to come in and be our next 30 goal a season scorer...someone similar to Sanogo
Of the ones he listed the only remotely suitable players are Benzema and Mandy, both will be on huge wages. For us to play a lone striker with midgets on the wings and Ozil behind him, you need someone capable of great all around play and strong as possible/tall, which leaves those two. Gomez is great in the 6 yard box, he'd miss less of those than Le Finger Flicker, but is just crap in the rest of his game so completely pointless for Arsenal.
Benzema goes through bad patches but is currently in a good one. He's on a big wage already, said to be around 170k + he gets a decent bonus for winning things... meaning his equivalent pay would need to be higher at Arsenal
As with other players who get linked because of the potential future transfers. If Real bought a big name striker I couldn't see Benzema leaving till a year after that time, not the same transfer window, to see what happens.
Ozil left because he was already being left out for big games, was already considered the first choice to leave and was trusted the least of anyone in the attack. Currently Benzema is first choice and a new signing can always flop, if he gets displaced and never plays for a year then I can see him wanting out, but not this summer.
Stupid thing is, Higuain is what we needed, FAR more than Ozil. His all around game is great, good delivery when he gets wide, great pace, can run at the defence, great hold up player, brilliant finisher. He's everything we needed, all in one player, who wanted to come to Arsenal AND didn't cost that much.........
Instead we bought a big game bottler for twice his true value which was way more than Higuain would have cost.
Fingers crossed for a huge scandal in Italy again and Napoli is one of the teams involved(but not Higuain
).
