Apparently we're wrapping up a loan deal for this guy, likely meaning Scott Hogan did in fact do his ACL on Saturday - poor guy. Looks like an excellent acquisition.

Well, if this Betinho can keep on scoring overhead kicks and back-heel flicks, then I'd be happy!

Stop being a tart.

When have I ever seriously complained about banter on here?

Fanny.

It's expected from Jilly, I'll complain about the likes of Moses and Sandy as nothing ever gets done :)

I was worried when Sandy showed up but he's behaved himself.

So who are the teams who should be competing Baz?

Purely based on resources? It should be a 3 way battle between Chelsea, City and Utd.

Based on strength/balance of squads? City and Chelsea are out on their own with Liverpool, Arsenal and to a lesser extent Utd as outside bets.

I see we are at the ArseneOUT stage of the season.

Never at an ArseneOUT stage of the season. We are at a pleasebringastrikerIN stage of the season. If there is no striker signing then there is no chance of us doing well without Wenger as well. At least with Wenger we'd have a chance of Europa without a striker, anyone else and we'd do a United.

Assaidi's heading back to Stoke on loan by the looks of things. Supposedly he was asking for £50k per week to agree to a permanent deal with them. Hopefully we're getting a bit of cash out of them in terms of a loan fee.

Edit: £1m plus they're covering all his wages. Could have been worse.

As a distraction from all the big stuff, I see that Jonathan Obika has joined Swindon on loan. I had a question that I have been thinking about for a while- Last season we had Obika on loan from Spurs. He was beyond awful, but he keeps getting loaned out by Spurs every single season. What do they get out of it?...he clearly isn't good enough to make it there!

Levy is apparently a pain in the arse to sign players on loan from, insisting that all their loaned players have their salaries picked up by the loaning clubs - and I understand that applied to youth players going to L1 and L2 clubs.

So maybe they've had his salary covered for the majority of the last few years, and got a £200,000 fee out of Swinedon for him.

Our squad isn't representative of what it cost (as we all know). We do have potentially an amazing attack - just have to hope the defence improve. When the injured players are back and we have a couple of good midfielders playing they'll get more protection.

Desperately hoping we get rid of Cleverley.
