Cleverley to stay and fight for his place :D

This would be hillarious.
I'd love to see how LvG handles Cleverley if he stays.
Will he play him?
Will he say, "You are technically not good enough, so you will play in the reserves until your contract runs out. Ha." (in slow, dutch accent).

I was hoping for a combative defensive midfielder, rather than Falcao.
But, we really need to focus on injuries and work permits, which is killing us right now.

Podolski was doing great before Arsenal as a lone striker, he just basically hasn't played there in over two years. Despite him being better than Giroud in every aspect of his game, we've frequently dropped him, pushed him out wide then people are surprised that given 10 mins in his first appearances since the world cup, where he played about 55 minutes.... he wasn't awesome

He could do a job there, he's better than Welbeck and Giroud, a much better finisher, much more intelligent, but Wenger just doesn't really like him, so he gets screwed.

Other managers occasionally ignore good players for some reason or another, but Wenger does it to several players every season when the players he picks instead are so much worse.

While I'm not certain Podolski up top on his own would work for us I'd like to give it a shot. I've always liked the guy and he has a fantastic shot on him - I'm not sure he can hold the ball up to bring in our midfield runners though.

What I truly don't understand is why we are signing somebody with unfulfilled potential when we have Joel Campbell who surely has to be worth a shot - unless Wenger sees something in training that we dont (ie hes absolutely ****ing ****) or something.

Bah.

Not happy.

Fulham have apparently signed McCormack's old strike partner Matt Smith on a 3-year deal for £500k. Know literally nothing about the guy apart from he's 6'6.

Playing on the left by and large. And for Germany.

And before you say it's even harder to score goals from the wing than from playing up front, it doesn't mean that a prolific left sided forward should lead the line.

What I am saying is, give him more games, perhaps he'll get the same or similar goal ratio, which in a season, that equates to about 20 goal. Which will take the pressure off the frontman.

:D

He's ok, but he thrives on long ball. Him and Ross never worked well together neither so odd signing. I'm glad he's gone really, we have loads of strikers and like I said the football played with him in the team is woeful.

Have you signed Beckford too? :D
