Why do they need to meet FFP? They're evidently not fussed about spending money, and the reduction in size of the CL squad to 21 isn't exactly an issue - most teams won't use more than 21 in the CL anyway - so the incentive to match FFP is far smaller than the incentive to buy a squad capable of winning the PL and CL.

Chelsea will continue to meet FFP. They have constantly been reducing their wage bill (it is roughly the same as Arsenal's now and much less than Man U's and City's) and have been selling players to cover their acquisitions.

Luiz was just sold for £40mil+, Costa and Cesc would be about £60mil combined so the difference is very manageable, especially with increased prem revenues.

I'm hoping that Can signing doesn't mean that Coutinho is going to be marginalised, especially if Lallana is signed too.

I don't think hes the same type of player, I think it's Lucas/Allen/Henderson who he'll displace, but ultimately its all about squad depth. He also has a lot of CL experience, which be so valuable to us next season. I suppose with some of the rumours nearer the end of the season, we could actually see Lucas sold now.

I should think it would be Allen he would be replacing, he really isnt much cup.
