Transformers 4

Going to seem very strange not having Megatron, or Starscream or some of the better known Transformers in the movie. =/

I'm looking forward to this, I enjoyed the previous films.

It's just popcorn action, that's it. Leave your brain at the door.
 
I hate that I'm going to pay money for this...

I really had decided not to go but my wife says she wants to see it. I told her it'll be as crap as the others but she likes Transformers too much to miss it.

Suppose there is always a chance that it's at least watchable - which for a Bay movie is about all I could hope for really.

Plenty other good movies around the corner though if it sucks!

Seems pretty cack from the reviews I've seen thus far, yet again theyre redesigning the robots down to adding lips to them (wtf) just so they can flog more toys. Even in the trailers you can see more and more human like faces, not sure why they're going this route it just looks dumb. You even have one running about with a cigar in its mouth...

Then you have the fact that the dinobots are barely in it despite being the big advertised attraction,


From a financial point of view they're big money draws, I just think they could have been so much more if bay wasn't involved with his "crash bang boom wallop shakycam" style of movies.

Best moment of transformers 1 had to be after prime gets slung about like a wet sock by Megatron for 10 minutes, Megatron gets taken down by raptor missiles and mr "nononononono" pushes the cube into his chest. Megatron overloads then "dies" and Prime says "you left me no choice brother".



WTF?? Everything we see of the fight its Prime getting his ass handed to him, then he says that like somehow he took Megatron down himself. :confused:

Then in the second movie Prime is somehow able to take on Megatron, Starscream and Grindor himself after not even being able to handle Megatron at the end of the first. :confused: Primes main gun in the first movie barely affects Megatron, yet in the second it send him flying through a wall. :confused:

Mental movies...

I was a massive fan on Transformers in the day, 80's cartoons, toys and comics. I went to see the original cartoon movie at the cinema. These films are just so bad it hurts though :(

I can't really see how that's a spoiler in any way.

I just never get why these basically easy to make films are always so off the mark
Alien, vs Predator, transformers. These are films that practically write themselves! Yet somehow they always get screwed up
 
That 'spoiler' was welcomed, pretty ridiculous how long it takes to see them as a lot of the marketing seems to be based around them.
 
What? There is no Starscream?

Yes I know he was torn to bits and turned into cat food tins in the last film, but Starscream is the best character of the lot, he is such a ****, he's brilliant.

True and if thats unicron behind gridlock on the trailers then i am definitely out.

Unicron is suppose to be a ****ing planet!
