Transport Fever

Tried to play this last night but it crashed twice trying to load the tutorial and once it did load I was getting a few graphical issues. Not sure if there's something I'm missing but I was also having issues trying to get junctions to work properly.

Will give it another go tonight.

So... bit of a strange one.

I run two monitors side by side and in Full Screen mode moving the mouse to the right doesn't move the camera. I've switched to Windowed, which is fine, but if I maximise the Window I get the same problem.

Any ideas?

The only option I have at the moment would be to just use WASD or manually size the Window to fit the primary screen.

Well I'm trying my best to do the Tutorials but they're not exactly the best.

I'm asked to build a train depot in the Yellow circle, fine, I do this but how do I connect the track?!

I know how to build it, but how do I join it to my existing one so I can assign the train to me new line? Anyone?

^^ Ignore...

Trick is to build the track from the existing one to the Depot and not the other way around, then a junction is automatically built in.

the other way works too. just watch you dont put the depot too close to the track as the curve will be too tight.

Oh, does it... I'll try giving that another go. May be I was too far zoomed out.

How are you getting on with it?

I'm currently doing the first European Campaign building the Swiss tunnel.

Haven't got to grips with the signalling system for trains yet, mine seem to always want to use the shortest or same route. Which leads them to a standoff and neither one moves.

Generally keep the signals in one direction and the path will automatically alter. You can click on the signals and also make them one way which prevents trains coming up the track the other way and can help at times of getting the computer to calculate the alternate route. Similar thing can be done with pathway signals. Add them in to the route and add them as station points on a line.

Had fun playing this game last night was transporting wooden planks and iron to a tool factory adding more horse drawn cards to speed things up and then only to realise there was a wooden planks closer to the factory. :/

Started to play this and enjoying it.

Initially, have found the interface/ui to be quite clunky but I'm getting used to it.

Placed a passenger bus and train stations and things are working well.

Had problems with placing a iron ore freight station as no raw material was being placed at my station. Need to revisit to find out why.

Need to make sure the station is within the catchment area, buildings that glow white within a specific radius of the station will be within the catchment are. Also a route needs to be set up so the iron ore is being used at a destination point wih a train set to carry iron ore purchased. Usually the train may need to run the route once and the iron ore factory will then get going.

I must remember to either switch back to normal speed or better still pause time when building or purchasing transport! :)

Doing this I'm sure I would have made the deadline on building the tunnel on the first European campaign.

The UI does take a little while to get used to, but the thing I might switch off if possible is the camera moving whenever the mouse reaches the edge of the screen.

This looks great. As others have said, the addition of competitor AI would be a nice to have. I'll pick this up tonight i think.

I still play TTD every once in a while.

It's addictive, came across a bug in the campaign which stopped me playing:( I decided to start the free mode on a large map, it's hard trying to get resources together to supply a city when they are spread over a the map. I may have to rework my mess of a network into something more manageable.
