I'm getting better at using the pathfinder for skirmishes rather than flag capping.

YOU. I remember you.

I was playing in the same game as in that video (at least I think it was). You killed me several times. You were the pathfinder hanging around the base.

Just checked the video and your not in it :(

It might have been a different game. I definitely recall seeing an Angst recently, though, playing pathfinder with the spinfusor, so I assume it was you. It was on the Katabatic, so perhaps that was why I thought it was the same game as in the video.

I enjoy a few rounds of this game every now and again. So far I've only spent £6.99 on it (cheapest package, mostly for the lifetime double XP) but I could really do with getting the £20 package, my Soldier class is upgraded nicely but I'd like to try another character but XP gain is so slow and everything costs so much.

Think i'll need to give that a bash because I quite like the class but dont seem to get very far capping.

Yep, it's just practice.. most of the time I have more trouble getting the flag home than the actual capping, things can start to go pear shaped when hitting the flag stand @ 320+.

Just learn some routes, probably better off learning symmetrical maps first, though Katabatic DS has some excellent and pretty easy 300+ grabs.

You'll be rock bouncing in no time..

Wow, that's quite impressive. Not necessarily very effective though, the crude routes I figured out myself get me faster than 220.

By the way, I see a lot of people using the boost pack and the spinfusor. When I play pathfinder, I use the energy pack and the crossbow. Is the boost pack genuinely more useful than the energy pack now? Also with the crossbow, for capping, am I just doing it wrong?

I have to admit I often run into things when capping at a decent speed. I know ds routes on kata but not really BE. Could do with learning more on all maps.

Disc damages you less when disc boosting. Also the thrust pack gets you going quicker at the start of the route. This can be useful and I think makes it the better choice for pathfinder.

I honestly think the Crossbow and Spinfusor are down to personal preference, I prefer the Crossbow because I find it easier to chase and defend with.

The energy pack is great if you are learning routes, it gives you more room for error.

I'm rather new to this game...mostly main in ctf but I've been enjoying the capture & hold mode which I initially thought would be rubbish but is actually a superb gamemode.

The best map imo is the one with the aquaducts, you know the one.

Outskirts. I find that map really doesn't work well for capture and hold unless they changed it recently in the last patch that is.
