**TRULY AMAZING TABLET DEAL: OcUK 10.1" ULTIMA GAMING TABLET WITH FREE 16GB SD CARD!!**

Just got mine it has an English plug. Sadly though it has a two screen abnormalities a big white bit and a smaller one. Not sure they checked mine in the factory. RMA'd for a new one.

I still think the Nexus 7 16GB is worth the extra few quid however this does have a 10" screen which i'm sure many will appreciate.

sdcard slot is nice, but you can't use it for apps.

I got one for my mrs it has 1 dead pixel but she wasn't bothered about it.
Is there a way to root these? that 500meg limit is daft.

Just charged and set mine up.
This did come with a UK plug and has no dead pixels or defects that I can find so far.

There is one slight issue which isn't really a fault of the tablet though, and that's that I ordered another tablet the day before this deal came up which has a 9" 1920x1280 256ppi screen and it's noticeably crisper and more vibrant than the Ultima. Perhaps a little more responsive when typing too...

Gonna have a play over the next few days and see how it goes.

Nook HD+. It's pretty good, but the power adaptor won't charge it for some reason, so I gotta do it via USB...

Apparently, there's some sort of fix involving removing and reinstalling the battery or something

Can someone try a 64GB SD card in it & see if it works.
The spec on this website is contradictory, mentions SD card twice with different capacities! Firstly says:
Storage: 8GB NAND Flash (Upgradable to 64GB /w SD Card)

Then a couple of lines down:Memory Card: Micro-SD (Support upto 32GB)

No mention of any capacity limit in what is jokingly supplied as a user manual.
Also noticed the user manual says its an A9 1.5Ghz processor, not 1.6Ghz as stated in the spec on ocuk.
Which is correct I wonder?

They are 1.6GHz max speed, antutu benchmark can confirm.

Bit worrying that some are still having screen issues after manufacturer claimed to inspect them and issues. We shall monitor RMA very closely and if it goes beyond other brands then we will have to find a new solution.

I've tried a few but all of which are still on my desk and I test them with web browsing, play store, fruit ninja, dead trigger, antutu, quadrant and streaming YouTube hd videos and BBC iplayer, all of which no issue.

Gibbo - Have a look at the one I sent back. It has at least 2 white bits under the glass. I didn't even check for dead pixels. One bit looks like a bit of finger nail(it might not be) and it is a couple of mm long. rma 239823.

Actually on closer inspection my dead pixel also looks like a speck under the glass. If I tilt the tablet I can see under it.

Camera not supported by Skype. Not the tablets fault though. Works via Google talk. Pleased with mine so far! Still got the other one to check though lol.

Hmmm... very tempted by the price. Slightly put off by the problems people have been having. Note to self - check back in a couple of days!

Either way, another vote of thanks to Gibbo & co. for keeping everyone in the loop with regards plugs etc. :)

Had mine for 24 hrs now , have to report, it so far is doing exactly what it says on the tin , No dead pixels, as far as i can tell. and british 3 way plug. Has not switched itself of or anything that anyone else has so far reported.
The only thing im not overly impressed with is android , though that is not the fault of the tablet, Mayve a learning curve, being first tablet, but i suspect given the option, ubuntu would trump it , if it was available

These cheap Chinese tablets seem to be really hit or miss regarding quality. I have worked in the electronics manufacturing industry for 11 years and the checking every unit only indicates that they have very poor quality controls during the manufacturing process. My advice is pay a bit more and buy a nexus/samsung/apple tablet.

First 24hrs have been fine, no crashes yet.
Managed to borrow a 64GB MicroSD card, I can confirm IT DOES NOT WORK.
So 32GB seems to be the max, not quite sure where the quote in the spec. comes from:
Storage: 8GB NAND Flash (Upgradable to 64GB /w SD Card)
If anyone knows how to achieve the quoted 64GB upgrade please let us know.
