The big banks and corporations will learn the square root of F all again with this, just like the last time...and the time before and the time before that ect..
CEO is offering 5% interest on current account balances now.....

It's only on balances up to £1500.CEO is offering 5% interest on current account balances now.....
This is also a classic example of why people shouldn't bank with one banking institution.
It's like putting all your eggs into one basket.
Having a few accounts, or at least a credit card from somewhere else at least gives you peace of mind that you can access some money if one of the banks goes through some difficulties.
I'm don't think it's fair to blame the customers.

He isn't. It is a fair point to tbh... don't put all your eggs in one basket etc...
Can TSB customers withdraw cash from ATM's or were they out of action as well?
My wages go into a Halifax account so I'm OK there, but I really feel for people who get their wages paid into TSB accounts and now can't get cash shifted around to pay credit card bills etc. I don't think it's possible to get wages paid into 4 different accounts, so he doesn't have that fair a point IMO.
Also most banks in the past when they've ****** up of their own accord have covered late fees / waived overdraft charges. Not sure what TSB has announced.
I had no problems moving £500 out of my TSB account back to Halifax yesterday. Can you not do the same and then pay from your Halifax account?
He has a perfectly fair point, it has been a few days it is hardly the end of the world. You have nearly a month to pay a credit card bill.
What are you talking about, for some the credit card will be due now not in a month.
You don't get a credit card bill and have to pay instantly.
Probs better to have a direct debit set up for it anyway.
