Turkish Grand Prix 2011, Istanbul Park - Race 4/19

Massa?
Jesus. Ferrari... Sort your lives out.

Massa used a set of hards in Q1 and single set of softs in both Q1 and Q2, he's saved 2 sets of soft tyres for tomorrow.

Sending him out on the hard tyres would have just put miles on the engine for no real advance. He may well be worth watching tomorrow, if they allow him to race Alonso.

Vettel's lap was pretty good but not perfect. Certainly a formidable qualifying advantage, which indicates that it will perhaps be an easy race for them, but I'm still not 100% convinced that their race pace will be as dominant.

It won't be since they lose some time with the DRS setup - not that I think it will matter.

It is even more worrying that the lap wasn't really pushing the car - reminiscent of the Ferrari dominant days. Come out, do a decent lap, go home.

It's becoming quite clear that Hamilton rarely agrees with team tyre decisions.
When will it ever come to a point where he can disagree with what they say?

Its amazing how right he can be in hindsight - surely he can say 'soz guys I dont think I can make up a position - lets enjoy the advantage of an extra set of fresh tyres instead'. I presume that means he didnt make the call in China either otherwise this wouldnt have happened...

I get annoyed that as gutsy as he is in the car, hes bit of a whipped child outside it

If they can have Webber come out in front and slow Vettel down then I'll be happy.

It would be interesting to see how RBR would respond if Webber is running ahead of Vettel. Will they do anything to ensure that the 2 drivers switch around? We may find out tomorrow.

So the consensus is that Schumi wont get penalised for his block on Hamilton because it ultimately didnt affect his Q1 performance? Or should I expect the real grid in a few hours? :p

Remember that RBR can tell Webber to let Vettel infront any time they want considering they don't have to hide team instructions now that it's legal but RBR will just pull "we are thinking of the championship" card

Given RBR's history of bare faced lying, I think if they do switch Vettel and Webber in the race, they will do it in an under-handed way, eg. they will compromise Webber's strategy so he ends up losing a few seconds to Vettel.

Ferrari are one of the few teams who have the balls to switch their drivers without hiding it.
