That job advert discriminates based on race. That is illegal.
Ah that old chestnut.
It's been repeatedly said that they don't have enough representation of certain groups compared to the general population, thus every now and then they do trainee positions specifically for people from those groups.
IIRC there is an issue with people from minorities not feeling they can go into the business in certain areas, so they make the effort to try and encourage people to start directly.
Becuase ether goverment dictates what the BBC has to create and do. As they deem it good for the UK, and as such it's a tax.Genuine question, why aren't we allowed to watch ANY live tv without a tv license? I can understand it for the BBC channels, but why shouldn't I be allowed to watch ITV for example and not have to pay the license?

I haven't paid mine since the late 90s. did you send them a letter removing assumed rights of access Nasher?
Mine expired in November. The money is now going in to paying the council tax hike instead
But I accidentally saw some of the One Show earlier and that instantly re-justified not paying.
Does anyone apart from the over 50s still pay for a license?
Still pay mine I think it's pretty good value, I read the website every day listen to loads of radio and watch a reasonable amount of bbc tv.Does anyone apart from the over 50s still pay for a license?
And David Attenborough... For nowStill pay mine I think it's pretty good value, I read the website every day listen to loads of radio and watch a reasonable amount of bbc tv.
Everyone's mileage will vary, personally I think the tv license should be ditched and the BBC funded out of general taxation much easier for everyone.I find a lot of BBC programs lately just crap tbh. Most of the good stuff isn't on live TV any more. The BBC don't want to pay for them any more or it doesn't fit their new, almost cringe worthy ultra-PC requirements.

Yeah, plenty still pay for the Murdock Foundation so they need a TV licence.
