To me, the BBC is a service paid for by the public, so I'd expect value for money. Quite honestly I don't think anyone is worth a £1m+ salary no matter who they are, and especially when you get actually important people like the Prime Minister who only earns around £160k in his official role.
No such thing as value for money when it comes to public funding. It's all about fleecing the British public for as much as they can possibly get away with. We all know the salary an MP is just pathetic right? officially it may only be 80k or whatever, but unofficially as they can claim expenses for literally everything its way way more. That 80k is more likely to be their "pocket money" as everything else is covered for with expense claims.
