glaucus i asked woden a question on a claim he made, you felt the need to comment which is fine. you don't know the answer and now here you are again belittling me..

If you can't understand or answer the question, nobody is belittling you, is just that you can't comprehend facts.

If you want to keep twisting proven facts to justify your own belief, then juts believe it and stop posting because you end up looking daft.

I haven't responded yet because I'm at work.

It's called an Act because it's Act if Parliament. As in parliament have done something to create, redact or amnend a law. There is nothing sinster about it. Referring to laws by their acts is just the simplest method.

For example it's the Homicide Act 1957 that covers murder, but since I don't consent to that contract, can I go slay some chavs?

it is I asking a specific question to woden's claim, not the other way around if you had bothered to read my posts.
as to the rest of your post what you are babbling on about i have no idea, maybe take a bit of your own advice.

Should be scraped, if the BBC was gone tomorrow I'm not sure I would even care, plenty of other channels to watch.

Other then a few interesting documentaries most of the programs are garbage.

thanks for replying, an enactment is 'the process of passing legislation' according to the oxford english dictionary to name one reference as i posted earlier. it sounds like something out of a shakespeare play, the simplest method would be to just call it law but they don't do that why?
for example as this thread relates to the communication 'act' not law 2003.
you might go and look up the 7 elements of contract as you last portion of your post is just nonsense.

Acts are laws, but not all laws are acts. If you commit an offence under the Public Order Act 1986 then you're breaking the law. There are other subsets of law that aren't acts though, such as criminal case law, statutory instruments, or civil case law. The difference is not whether one has more legitimacy than another but who gets to create them and how.

For example, Acts of Parliament need to be passed by MPs in Parliament.
Statutory Instruments can be passed by Ministers in the Government
Case law is made by Judges in the Courts

They are all laws though regardless of your personal consent.

What exactly is the question? You've been provided with various answers if they're not clear to you then you perhaps need to clarify or provide a followup question.

Otherwise it seems like you've actually got no interest in discussing the topic and are just trolling.

dowie it is a simple question if you don't understand it them fine but don't throw out the troll card because if it..

seemingly a simple question that multiple other posters haven't been able to answer though... so perhaps you could clarify if it is so simple... yet you don't seem to be prepared to do so:

so I have to perhaps conclude you're either tolling or you don't really understand what you're asking or the answers you've been given or perhaps some combination of those...

if you don't understand the question then that's fine, but no it has not been answered

if you don't know it then fine just say so. i am not making any claims here just asking a question.

it is I asking a specific question advice.

i asked a qustion, it's not addressing the question.

Anyone else really want to know what the question is?

What is it?

it's your opinion and your are entitled to it, either way that's all it is. i know exactly what i am asking and if woden or any of the other posters can't address then fine no need to get bent out of shape:)

Indeed - or if he isn't getting the answer he wants then some clarification/followup question would be useful. I presume that perhaps reality is conflicting with the freeman beliefs and he can't take the discussion any further than simply repeating that his question hasn't been answered.

Getting divorced myself and will be hoping to buy a property and i for one will not be getting a TV licence as i dont watch TV! I am guessing i will get a mountain of threats then from the licensing morons?

It's been answered, over and over again. If multiple people don't understand it, you are asking wrong. As it is it feels like we're stuck in a loop.

Am I being detained?

dowie are you reading here i elaborate what i am asking and stop with the default freeman answer because you don't understand, i'm not sure one of them are tbh. maybe if the question is addressed we can further the discussion.

i would prefer you to answer my reply to yours but you chose to quote this one..

I'm really not clear what it is you're asking - people have already explained what an act is

people have explained that law doesn't just include acts of parliament but also common law

given those previous explanations what is it exactly that you're asking?
