Two Point Hospital

Just got 3 stars in the University hospital, thoroughly enjoying the game so far. My only gripes so far are that I really wish you could create room templates and emergencies aren't really emergencies if it takes 20+ days to get to the hospital.

I snuck in a purchase of this late last night so I could get the discount from Voidu.com :D

Looking forward to playing it after work tonight :D

Keep trying to setup good pathing, but I swear they set the sizes of the buildings just to try and force you into bad pathing!

I was struggling a little with this but then my wife showed me her hospital and it was just incredible, I think the key is to leave corridors very wide (you can fill some of that space back in again after with corridor items) - I had been aiming to leave corridors that were 2 tiles wide but 4 seems to be much more optimal. She claims she has no strategy and is just plopping stuff down but it sure looks good and I saw she hit the achievement for all awards in a single year (I've always failed the "no deaths" one!)

My girlfriend has pretty much taken over my PC over the weekend playing this. Watching her play makes my OCD go mad, she just plops stuff down anywhere, items in room have no real design, just dump it down. Radiators not against walls etc. Looks messy but she always gets 3 stars super quick and wins all the awards. Then there's me making everything look as good as possible but not doing half as well as she is :D

No point dragging it out.. time to update your Match profile: "..looking for equally considerate and logical hospital design partner".

Put in around 4 hours over the weekend as I lost track of time during one session, seems a bit easy at the moment, making money doesn't seem to be a problem, I suspect I'll start seeing more issues as it progresses though.

Glad I bought it, great little casual game and feels just like TH :)

1 tile wide for maximum room space :D

Not a fan of the current prestige system. You only need minimum sized rooms and then gold certificate spam. I can see that getting nerfed in some way.

I have never achieved the no deaths one either, mainly because I cheap out on staff :)

I think they could do with tweaking it, but also am confused why so many people fail to grasp the concept of trying to make a hospital which not only functions efficiently but looks good and vaguely plausible/realistic. Okay so wallpapering every inch of wall-space with the most OP prestige item is the way to min/max if that's what you want but it looks terrible...

Does spamming the same thing really work? I've been putting up one of each poster I own to try and get good ratings each time, assuming that more than one would have reduced effect!

Same thing works and the gold awards can go on walls that most other things can’t. Also very high prestige for each.

That's got to get sorted then, just daft to be that way. I don't mind people making their hospitals/rooms messy if they don't care, but being able to just spam one thing isn't good gameplay in my mind.

Yeah, should probably be changed so you get less if you already have that item in a room. Well for some things anyway, certainly for something like the gold award, but not for sofa's in a staff room for example.

Then again, just because you can do it doesn't mean you have to. I've read it works now but have no intention of doing it.

If they do nerf the gold star spam they have to bring in a room template or copy/paste function so you don't have to put up 8 posters and 4 certs in each room :/
