Type R and VTEC owners

Cheers Simon. Currently have RE050 MZ on the rear and I think normal ones one the front, well, I can't spot the MZ marking.

Just been up the Forest of Dean - it's lol worthy how fun it is. Back end started stepping out on a sweeping bend, but it was lovely and progressive and a simple flick of the wheel and I was straight again. Really enjoying it.

Clutch delay valve. Do some gear changes quick at high rpm. You will notice it. It let's the clutch back in slowly. It feels crap. Especially if you've come from a Honda gearbox without one.

I still need to sort mine out. Its pretty much my only gripe with the car.

Can't say I've noticed it, maybe something's broken. :)

I've only really driven it hard today, and for the most part I was in 3rd, most gear changes were 1 > 2 > 3 - didn't really go into 4th much in anger.

Maybe I'll notice it, will have to see I guess.

Local fitter got back to me regarding tyres for my S2000:

Hi Chris

Thank you for the email

I have had a check around & I can get a pair of both at present & prices are as follows

215/45/17 RE50MZ = £230inc pair fitted

245/40/17 RE50MZ = £260inc pair fitted

Just come back to us if you would like to order

Kind Regards

Is that reasonable? I don't need the fronts yet, but rears need doing soon.

Let me know how you get on with the brakes.

New MZ rears fitted today, new headunit ordered and the lead for the dash controls. Also getting my steering wheel refurb'd.

Just black with black sticking, standard thickness. Waiting time of 5 weeks though, but I don't have to pay till it's ready which I guess is a small consolation.

I have a small leak on the passenger side, right at the top front part of the passenger window. Any idea what I can do to fix this? All the rubber seal looks good, but still getting a few drops of rain water through.

Clearing through my garage of old Evo parts has so far raised around £500, and I have a set of Bilstein coilovers and some exhaust bits yet to sell!

wtf Chris, steering wheel refurb and a leak? Isn't yours an 06?

Haven't had any leaks on mine and the steering wheel is mint.

Not spent a penny on mine other than a Berk HFC but I'll get most of that back selling the de-cat and old cat.

Not sure why the 'wtf' is needed.

The previous owner is a married woman, and as such wore a wedding ring which has marked the wheel and gear knob. No biggie? As for the roof, I'm talking about a drip or two now and again.

Glad to hear about your mint steering wheel though. :p

Why do people still buy DS2500? They're pretty average now, and if you push them then they will leave deposits over the discs which are a nightmare to get off. There's far better around now.

So, i still have not bought a s2000 yet, but i still want one, im going to look at these 3 examples over the weekend, what do you guys think?

Im tempted by the light blue one the most as it is the cheapest but the milage is putting me off at 97k, its going to be well over 100k when i sell it, and will it likely cost me more to maintain due to the miles then the one at 62kmiles?

I think they are all over priced.

Go look at this one, it's what I would have gone for had I not seen my blue one:

Keep the Seibon bonnet, or have him put the original back on, up to you, he offers the choices in his ad.

I spoke to him, nice genuine bloke, he's had the car for 5 years I think, Honda history.
