Type R and VTEC owners

Don't like the look of them myself, too much like a poor Boxster copy. I do like the older MR2 (1991 onwards, Mk2 is it?) but they are too old in the tooth now.

I think they look great modified a bit, seen some really nice ones at meets over the years, I think it looks a little more manly too over the MX5

Turns out its a 60 mile round trip to Grinspeed, happy though, car feels great and everything I asked for was done inc a cold air feed which has quietened the car down a lot though :(

£302 got me

OEM filters inc pollen
Fuch's oil
Gear oil (So much smoother)
NGK Iridium plugs
Valve clearances
Front wheels balanced
Cold air feed fitted

Will..

VX220

Would love one but can't stomach the insurance costs!

Anyway, hairdresser mobile purchased today, pics to follow. A few details:

2008 mx5 2.0 sport in 'true red'
25k miles, full mazda history, im the third owner
Recently refurbished black alloys
Eibach spring kit with WIM geo setup
IL motorsport cat back exhaust
HID kit
Ipod and usb integration
All the usual stuff on these, bilsteins, lsd, heated leather, bose etc
Cost 7300 (private sale)

Essentially it has all the stuff I'd want or feel compelled to do to ot myself already, in particular a sports exhaust and springs were a must for me.

Really happy with it, had to drive from Beaconsfield to bring it back, not the best motorway car for sure, but with the roof down on roads....lots of fun m

I will see come renewal time in january. For now greenlight have let me transfer the policy they are paying out on (for the honda) onto this for nothing more than a 25 quid admin fee.

Im not expecting it to be utterly insane then though, given my age.....Ive also seen that nath gets a reasonable price on his crz after two supra accidents, and I have protected ncb as well....so it should be tolerable.

hmm having a nightmare trying to find a drive shaft for the CRX. Might sell it when it's fixed and get another cheap EP3.

I feel your pain, really want to keep my 205 but the rarity of some parts and insane second hand values (£125 for an original gearknob for instance) is starting to annoy me. Can see me getting rid and getting a 306 gti-6 or something instead :(

How bad is the insurance rapage on another modified sports car after 2 claims?

I pay £750 for the Evo.
Good post code
6 points, 3 from 2009, 3 from 2010, one speeding, one mobile phone.
1 total loss claim April 2009 so 2 years NCB.
That's with my girlfriend as a named driver though.

By way of comparison, my insurance on the fn2 civic with all the mods was £746. My circumstances when I took out that policy:

27y/o
0 pts on licence
4 years ncb (god bless protected ncb)
1 total loss accident (fault)
Wolverhampton postcode which I expect would be middle ranked.

Now I will have another fault claim on there (total loss) in january when I come to renew, but my ncb should still stand (protected) and I will be a year older. The first accident didn't make my insurance quite as bad as I'd imagined...I'm hoping a second won't make it ridiculous either.

none of those sell them. They do them for the mk3 del sol.

the only company's I've found that do them are Hasport and Raxles.

god dam 253???? I am always getting quotes of 1500 like...
If i could get away with 600f/ year i could get one for myself :P
