Type R and VTEC owners

TaKeN Nanodrive CFS 5w40 DOIT :D
When i had HAMP oil filter oil pressure was about 0.5 bar higher when idling vs standard filter. But from what I can see Oil pressure in b18c filter does not matter pass 2000rpm it stops at 5.5 bar all the way up to 9000rpm.

I'm tempted to try some Millers Nanodrive oil

My last oil change I used this. I've kept fuel logs since owning the car (30000 miles) the following two fuel fillups were the two highest MPG figures I've seen since owning the car.

It wasn't a MASSIVE difference, but it will pay for itself in 3000 miles.

My average mpg since owning the car (spirited / motorway driving) = 29.4 (124 fills)
Average since starting new job (communting only) = 33.6 (5 fills)
Average since starting new job + nanodrive (commuting and spirited) = 35 mpg (2 fills)

It's still early days

Went to view a few ATR's this week. Some local and some further away. I liked the look of one out of the 6 I viewed but seller wouldn't budge on price. The rest seemed to be piles of crap, in the nice way of putting it.

They really are getting on and would end up being a money pit. I might just call it a miss and look for something newer /breadvan. I'm sure I can cope without the 5 doors for a weekend blaster.

Just put a 0W-20 in if all your after is fuel economy

After being on the lookout for a nice FN2, Im seriously starting to consider an EP3. I used to own one years ago and am thinking why not have a bit of fun and save the rest of the cash.

Any tips on buying a used EP3 nowadays? It will be a facelift of course. Are the seats in the premium edition worth holding out for over a standard facelift?

Opinions on this? http://bit.ly/HecXBd

For a low miler in excellent condition, what price should I expect? Theres chancers asking as much as £8K. Would £5-£6K secure a good example?

6k is total top whack for EP3 Premiers IMO.

I am tempted to get another EP3. Been looking at FN2's as I've had one EP3 and I like toys so kinda combining the two but a tidy FN2 58 plate or newer is gonna be hugely overpriced.

So like yourself maybe another EP3 and saving some cash is a better option. They're great cars, I do miss my old one a lot lately :)

Premier seats are worthy. Much better than standard.

Simon. You don't seem to like the millers oil. As a genuine question, what is bad about it?

It has no specifications and anything in an oil is sub 100microns and therefore 'nano'.

I'm not at all suggesting this is the case here. But anyone could sell an oil with a name and claim some random buzz word with ZERO engine testing.
