Type R and VTEC owners

I'm not saying that it's bad to drive.

However 99% of them I see look barried up.

I just don't like that shape of accord really.

So how many do you see on a daily basis? Or are you judging by adverts online? We're getting a few in my city now being driven by idiots.

Like many have said, they're at a price were the local bruvs can afford them, like ep3's they will end up being driven to oblivion and not being maintained either.

I prefer the pre ATR to the facelift. It's just that rear end does remind everyone of lolrover600.

The rover 600 was a great car.

Why lolrover? Amazes me hoe much effort people go to on forums to slate cars they have no experience of. Lame

No need to get so butt hurts boys.

I don't like the look of them.

Hardly slating, I'm stating my opinion, that's the point of forums right? Im sure they are great to drive. But aesthetically they displease me

I can't remember the last time I saw an Accord Type R on the roads, I still see the occasional DC2 though (nice UKDM near me, N12 TEG as the plate or something suitable like that!). EP3s are by far and away the most common Type R in these parts, absolutely everywhere, followed by FN2s. I do like the Accord Type R but it is very dated looking now, I think time has been kinder to the Integra.

The EP3 and EK Civics seem worst effected by barry, I can't say I've noticed a badly modded ATR before. I live on a fairly busy road, whenever I was cleaning my old FN2 on the drive I'd get the local boy racers booting it past my house as soon as they saw my car (obviously modded), always old EKs and EP3s with massive exhausts, fake carbon wrap, tow hooks and and stickers galore.....one of my neighbours actually asked if I knew them, it was that obvious...

Yeah ironic that someone who makes a CRZ look like a Saxo is slating an accord for looking like a rover. Yet probably hasn't driven one. Surely an ATR is not much heavier than a CRZ either (yet can carry 3 more people )

I don't really understand your vendetta here man.

I say I don't like the look of a car, so now you start ripping my car.

FYI I haven't done anything aesthetically to my car apart from wheels ;)

So jog on!

Ha. Irony! I have my opinion yet I'm told to jog on? Not sure why you think I'm being personal. This is a forum for opinions I believe ;)

It looks barried to me, and this probably to most other people. Don't give me the 'all parts are OEM'
I'm sure 1.6 escort owners didn't get away with that when they fitted whale tails.

The ATR was for the guy who wanted a sensible understated family car which still had something about it for when your alone and on decent roads, they didn't care for making it look like something it wasn't . The chassis was great. Very similar to the lolrover 600.

Nah you are making it personal because you don't like what I have to say.

That's my issue.

There is no such thing as a UK Mugen CRZ so I don't really get the escort 1.6 comparison.

I mean yeah, if it was a 1.4 civic with a mugen kit I'd understand your point.

I think you took my pretty neutral comments regarding accords earlier as rather personally, must have hit a nerve somewhere man.

Yeah I have a rover 600 I put a S2000 bodykit on :(

My point really was about how much of the last few threads in here seem to be slating cars purely on appearance, not experience.

Realistically nath was just agreeing with my point. I'm not sure why the need for ripping his car came from.

I see an accord and it instantly reminds me of a car my grandad owned. Like Will said. It just looks very dated and other cars from a similar era have aged better. Both Integras have aged much better than the accord. The E46 came out at a similar time and despite being the more premium of the two, it looks far better in this day than an accord.

Again this is merely my opinion in the looks rather than how it drives, but the look of a car is a factor for me. I am sure the RX8 for example is a great car. But i would never buy one because I think it looks crap.

and the engines are ****el

I just find it interesting to see response from people who slate cars appearances yet get upset when people a negative about the appearance of theirs.

Personally id rather drove a rover 600 diesel than drive a Mugen CRZ

I never claimed to have drove one or said that they were bad to drive either?

All I said was I literally don't like the looks.

So I think you are being alittle too sensitive.
