No more updates on my old red EP3 from the young lad who bought it a couple of months ago, spent on a full respray, expensive wheels, coilovers added to destroy the handling etc etc.

haha :D

I wish we had more people giving a running commentary of previous cars falling into the abyss

I can imagine the previous owner of my DC2 doing the same back in Japan :(

My old Fiesta ST was destroyed, chavved in a similar fashion....

The guy I sold it to bought it as a track toy but then lost his job, so sold it on quickly. The guy who bought it from him didn't really have much of a clue about it, theres a video of him grenading the gearbox whilst ragging it up and down a backstreet, which necessitated replacement. Then the oil cooler hoses split, he got rid of the takeoff plate and went back to a normal filter so the cooler was no longer connected, but then he sprayed the oil cooler that was left in situ bright yellow and adding an ST stencil logo, whilst leaving the aeroquip fittings on it...with no hoses plumbing it in....:(). Then he had the tailgate and bonnet wrapped in black and covered it in loads of monster energy stickers. I stopped paying attention to what he was doing to it after that... was a nice car to start with...here's a pic taken when I still had it and brought it to one of the rolling road days way back when...

My Silver Fiesta ST started to go that kind of way too!

I think my boyo car days are over for now though so won't get to see any more of this madness from the youth who tend to take the controls of my old cars :D

Wish I was down your way.

Will see what the local Honda specialist charge when I do mine as I'd rather supply a koyo tensioner and branded water pump rather that pay hundreds more to Honda for a fancy red and white sticker.

Fitted some orange side repeaters the other day. One step closer to her being roadworthy again for mid-May and Tour d'Ecosse! :p

Well 'Operation Restoration Get-it-good-enough-to-be-sold' is back on track - I aim to sell it shortly after 6ish years of ownership. I'm in the process of fixing some niggles that can hinder a car sale.

Installed a "new" bumper, alignment is still slightly off so I'll have to bend the mounting to get the gap to close on the offside headlight. Fresh JDM plates on order.

Err, that's a problem and may explain the lack of cooling fan. My JDM-YO Koyo radiator had sprung a slight leak too so I decided to get a new radiator, thermostat and fan switch. The cluster sensor works and the hoses weren't a problem so I left those.

I did the full coolant flush/bleed but the Fan still didn't come on with the cool-return pipe running hot so I dug deeper to the US forums on what was going on. In short it's probably the coolant sensor for the ECU which can cause the fan to stay permanently on or in my case permanently off. Changing it can help with the fueling too apparently as the ECU doesn't think the engines stone cold. Annoyingly the part comes without an O-Ring so I've ordered one from Honda which comes in on Wednesday (£3 for a 1.5mm O-Ring!).

The fan comes on when I short it so that rules out the fuse, wiring, relay and fan itself.

I've finally gotten round to changing the passenger door after I had a rather nasty incident with a friend's gate post (Hi @TaKeN) Which can be seen in this picture:

It's cheaper (although not easier) to buy a door then it is to have it filled and fixed but I did have to have said friend go all 'Hodor' on me as it's certainly not a one man job. Fitting the door back together took a detour as I now want to grease the runners properly (on both sides) and apparently compressor oil is the best thing for that and I'm fresh out.

Once the door is back on then it's off to the bodyshop to have the little scuffs and chips sorted and a lovely key mark that some oxygen thief left for me a few years ago. The wheels worry me but I think a good acid bath will fix those as it's currently very dirty. Then on the day of the sale advert pictures being taken these bad boys are going in, which are spiffing
