rjk buying car parts again...

anyone seen a Gruppe M with this type of plaque before?

by the carbon weave it looks legit and I have seen a few pics on google with the 'M's' logo.

fake, send it back

do you work in OcUK procurement?

I do indeed. Not purchased yet but thought I would ask here in case. Seen quite a few of this logo on jdm cars but not 100% so thought I would post here.

Nice sig btw muffin :p

I've seen a few that just say M's. Apparently its something to do with its age, the old ones say M's and the new ones Gruppe M.

That's the way I understood it. Tried googling it a little but can't find much. The weave of the cf looks much better than the tegiwa. But I'm not paying Gruppe M prices if it isn't a genuine intake. Especially not with japfest coming up and the inevitable tegiwa 10% discount making a new intake much cheaper.

Debating whether to let my dealer do a valve clearance check/adjustment. I've done it myself twice but one of them is a total nightmare to do and I'm not 100% convinced it's perfect. I doubt it's out of spec but it is playing on my mind anyway.

Not the sort of thing I can do while in the UK with a specialist as the car needs a fair old time to properly cool down, don't have the time to be able to dedicate to that when I am over next month.

New wheel arrived, only had a cheeky look as it was a long day on site followed by an 8hr drive from Hull back home.

But it looks amazing, great work by Jack @ Royal Steering Wheels.

Before and after pics to come tomorrow!

bit of an update, had an email from GruppeM north america. Japan still need to chime in really but this does seem rather conflicting with Chris's opinion.

Hi Richard,

That does not appear to be a genuine GruppeM plaque. GruppeM has never been referred to as "M's" that I'm aware of. We've kept the cc's above so that others can chime in if needed, but this doesn't appear to be genuine GruppeM to me.

Direct from the boys.

Wait and get yourself a Tegiwa copy if you can get a discount. Or if this one cheap enough then get a decent offer in if you're shure it's made well enough and will do the job.

Might be worth letting the seller first and/or forum moderator of their FS section know about teh G.M response.

just strange how there is two versions. going to look at it tonight. the price is good for a GM intake which is the main reason i was asking.
