EP3 PFL but need something as a cheapo. Not fussed about bodywork much, but must be mechanically sound. Been looking all day and prices are all over place. Need one by tomorrow.

A dusting of snow has validated the winter wheels and tractor tyres on the S2000. Commuting and the tractor tread has dropped the MPGz to 23. At least I might not crash...

Haha let my other mate buy it for £2k in the end, wasn't trying to rip anyone off, just what my mate wanted for it.

More tempted to buy his evo 5 with evo 8 engine that owes him £12k since June last year, can get it for £6k.

Can tell hes got a big tax bill at the end of the month

Very well thanks mate. Not had any problems yet although had a scare with the gearbox a couple of days ago.

Found out the hard way not to skip gears. I tend to go from 1st to 3rd or 4th to 6th sometimes if i'm being lazy. Have done with all my cars. Not any more...

5th and 6th were really hard to get into, like dragging the gear stick through mud. Fixed now though luckily

Simon once i take my teg out from garage i just wait till oil temperature hits 85 and then Vtec all the time

Maybe i do only 2000miles a year with it but its HARD MILES

Still mate in rx8 is averaging 18 mpgs

My dc2 average is 30 I think.

Once had 25, can get 35 if zero vtec

Bought a EP3 FL CTR. Think I paid over the odds but the car is mint, goes well. Everything works, the engine is rather tappety. Too tappety and there's no record of VC's being done.

Yeah at 75k. It's mint in the sense it's bodywork is mint lol. I knew K20's were tappety, just didn't realise they were this tappety. They probably need doing again.

Mine is on 80k and isn't remotely tappety - before or after clearances

Mines on 164k. Valve clearances were done at 54k

Tappy is lose, could be tight and risk burning valves.

Never heard a tappy K20 and when I had my EP3 I was around a lot of them! Sure its not injectors or something? Was it been modded in the past?
