UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 20th April 2023]

ETHanol already ran outta fuel?

Jeezus dude, I thought robfosters was the worst on here for doom and gloom after a bad result.
It's not a bad result. It's an entirely predictable result given the standard of players we have left, most of us predicted this. I have no idea why some people were saying oh it's just Sevilla last week.

The rest of the season is going to play out the same way unless Jesus himself returns to miraculously fix up Varane and Martinez.

Feels like this Europa campaign has been cursed from the start tbh but to end like that. Sevilla are the jammiest side in history, 3 goals in the tie from jammy deflections lol. We've run out of steam completely, we don't have the squad to fight on four fronts if the league are going to screw us with scheduling like this. Heads dropped after the first goal, another example of captain fantastic screwing us over then being unfit to lead.

The bookies had United clear favourites so I’m not sure it was entirely predictable.

De Gea just had one of those games he has every so often and it cost you dearly.

Still something rotten somewhere in the team given the almost pitch wide shambles I’ve just witnessed. Appreciate it’s only ETH’s first season and he’s done wonders thus far but he’s got a big summer ahead of him.

Can't be bothered looking up the stats again, but I did at the beginning of the season.

Take a look at our win percentage this season with slabhead starting vs without him.

Why? I’ve never liked the Glazers and will rejoice when they are gone but tbf they’ve spent enough money, just very badly.

We are out of money. They have bled us dry. We don't have the required capital needed to sort out. We need a new keeper, CB and striker to compete next season. We have the core when all fit but the core squad isn't there. We had that purple patch after the world cup but since Feb we have always had one key player out in one way or another.

How much fault does DDG own for the first goal?

Arguement at work saying it's all on Maguire, yet one bloke says he should never be receiving the ball there.

I'd say its 80:20, Maguire : DDG.

Maguire called for the pass and realistically had time to deal with it, De Gea should have known better.
