UEFA Champions League 6/7 December *** Spoilers ***

Do any other United fans not feel that angry/upset?

It just doesn't feel like a surprise after how we've played over the last 2 months, if anything it would have been a surprise if we'd managed to go through, especially after conceding first.

No its not a surprise imo - thats why I said it was impossible for Utd to top the group after the last match day.

I am very angry, but more about what wasnt done in the summer, to have a quality ACM , which imo wouldnt have halted Tom Cleverley's developement (as even a youngster cant play every game) and would give real incentive to both players to learn off each other and develope faster (even if it was a more mature player in their late 20's)

I still believe in Fergie even though he does seem to make bizare decisions at times (like young coming off instead of Park, and the squad for the CC match) but he also knows a lot more info about team/squad's fitness etc

The squad just isnt what it was 2 or 3 years ago.

To be fair, it's a bit of a silly point, given that you wouldn't be playing the same teams in other groups, and thus wouldn't be guaranteed the ten points. :p

But yeah, with easier teams you would be through I reckon. Your coefficient is quite low though, isn't it? You just have to suck up a few years in the bottom pots before they'll let you move up. ;)

I don't think it's that silly. Our 4th seed qualified instead of us.. Look at the other teams we could have got instead of Napoli, Otelu Galati for one! Yeah our coefficient is terrible, we'll have to go through this next year, and the year after, probably keep going through it for as long as it takes the UEFA to realise we're not going anywhere :D

someones status on my facebook:

"Manchester United fans quickly turn to ITV2 +1! You're still in the Champions League!"

Lol

And whats this talk assuming City will be in the CL next year? ok there 5 points ahead of everyone in the top of teh PL but if united can crash out of the CL in the easiest group ever, then city can easily have a terrible 2nd half of this season.

A bit bloody arrogant assuming city will be in the CL next year.

Thats a little unfair - Carrick has been one of Utd's better players in the last few weeks

The rest I would agree about however

At least the likes of Morrison, Pogba and Berbatov should enjoy the Europa league

Maybe, maybe its because we need a creative midfield, I probably wouldnt be on his case but all he does is pass to the nearest player no outgoing play which probably isn't his role to do so but its still needed.

you might even include, ferdinand, evra, owen and berbatov soon

Amen to that! :/

As a Manchester United fan, I don't think it's very arrogant at all.

I think I'm more fed up then angry. People keep banging on about our ability to score goals late but I just don't see this happening with the players we've got.

I really don't like the way we defend as well, we never actually press the other team, we stand back and wait for them. Midfield literally just strolls towards the opponents rather than press and try and get them to make a mistake.

ITV annoyed me though, Rooney was poor and they were saying apart from his miss he's played well. They also properly ripped De Gea and tbh the 1st goal was hardly his fault.

It seems that he meant Evans, let's say he didn't though you're agreeing that relying on Jones means we're in serious trouble?

Losing Vidic is a massive blow, surely you accept that? Vidic has been your mainstay of your defense for the past 4 years and while Jones is far from a bad player, he's not nearly on the same level of Vidic yet.

With Ferdinand's fitness record and the likelihood being he'll be in and out of the side, if Vidic is out for a long period, you'll be playing plenty of games with 2 from Jones, Smalling and Evans.

Wtf are people barrelling on Evans for, he did nothing wrong tonight :p

No-one seemed to have mentioned Smalling's incompetence for their second, that is some of the worst defending I've ever seen.

that was bad, but still think De Gea should have been able to save it - no?

They have gone out of CL, so will play 2nd team in EL

REALLY you think they will not finish in the top 4

12 behind 4th and not lost a game this season
