UEFA Champions League/Europa League 6/7/8 March *** Spoilers ***

Oh well proud of the guys...coming back from 4 goals was always going to be tough.

Well done Arsenal for giving it a real go...2nd half was meh for Arsenal in all honesty....we went off the boil really.

Awaits a wall of text from DM about how rubbish Walcott was, how useless Song was etc etc.

Yeah, like I said, needed the 4th goal early in the half. Milan kept the ball better in the 2nd half and bar that one chance we didn't create anything. Still, good effort and they can be proud the tie ended a much closer contest than the first leg.

Brilliant effort from the gunners. VERY proud of them; gutted where out but no one cannot question the sheer heart and determination of them. They gave it there all against a top champions league side. NOTHING to be ashamed about.

I find it quite funny how Arsenal fans had no hope before the game, then it was 3-0 and they full expected to qualify.. Then they lose :p

LOL it was always going to be tough...the fact we scored 3 was amazing enough but even then I couldn't see us at qualifying for the next round.

Blessing in disguise tbf...now we can concentrate on bagging 3rd or 4th in the league.

Wise words.

As someone said on TV, beating Milan 3-0 is certainly not an easy thing to do...!

Indeed. I said I was pessemistic when it went to the 3-0. RVP should have scored that chance, but then Gervinho should have scored himself and if he had the ball wouldn't have dropped to RVP, so he's just as much to blame. Milan had 2 LOLWUT misses as well, but the fact was in the 2nd half they remembered they needed to be losing by 5 to go out and pulled themselves together just as much as we ran out of steam.

If we'd have got through we'd have only got battered by one of the better teams and it's more games to play right when half the squad is dead. Given it's pretty much a transitional year in terms of the team I'm not too upset - they won the game and kept a clean sheet, tried their best - and get the CL spot for next year. Hopefully Chelsea will keep on being awful, Liverpool wasteful and Spurs remembering their place to make it easier for us to get 3rd/4th. If Wilshere is back and fit in time for the final push that will be a big boost as well... although even then it will be 'same old', so it's all about getting to the summer intact and seeing if anything will get done about making the team better in the important areas (and hopefully now Rice is going, to get Bould as assistant manager).

Also lol@Ibrahimovic - we made him look good in Milan, tonight he was back to his over-rated, airshot and fall over a lot whilst moaning best. Not going to be remembered as one of the greats.

Blaming anyone for missing that chance is overly harsh I think, especially as it was obvious the players gave everything that they had. I thought van Persie had scored, it was an incredible save and I imagine 9 times out of 10 that type of finish, from that far out, with a keeper on the floor is a goal. Abbiati went high and guessed right. I wouldn't want to be critical of van Persie for that attempt, it's not as if he skied it high or wide or anything.

Even he seemed bored by the cliches he was spouting. :p Well played though Arsenal, unlucky in the end.

"We like to play a game like this"

Did anybody actually tell him we've been eliminated? :p

He's the most overrated player in the history of football, I kid you not I've seen the guy have 2 good games against a good level of opposition and both those games were against Arsenal

Another DM embarrassment claiming he was better than Rooney :o

I seriously think if you added up Ibrahimovic's offsides and stumbles it would total more than his touches of the ball in the first half.
He makes Andy Carroll look good.
