UEFA Champions League/Europa League 6/7/8 March *** Spoilers ***

First half was excellent. Second half we looked a bit tired. So close. If only we turned up in Milan.

Offsideavich much..

Yep injuries and fatigue seemed to catch up with Arsenal second half, plus Milan had been strolling about all game so they were still full of energy towards the end.

At 4-0 down most teams would have thrown the towel in before the kick off, so well done Arsenal you've done yourselves proud.

Anyone else noticed that someone had barfed on the board behind Wenger?

Shame about Ibrahimovic, because his control of the ball is top notch.

On his day he is a superb player, but like many struggles on the biggest stage. Look at Messi with Argentina...

Still, 9 league titles in 13 years as a pro and 18 domestic trophies and an almost 1 in 2 goal to game career record isn't too bad for someone who doesn't always perform.

Anyhow, very impressed with Arsenal's first half performance, and even as a Spurs fan thought they might just do it.

I find it quite funny how Arsenal fans had no hope before the game, then it was 3-0 and they full expected to qualify.. Then they lose :p

Excellent trolling by Wenger as usual giving his fans hope.

If I was a Milan player at 3-0 and it being squeaky bum time, I would have loved to score to make it 3-1 then run around the full stadium ending at the Arsenal bench whilst doing Arshavin's "shhh" celebration.

He's the most overrated player in the history of football, I kid you not I've seen the guy have 2 good games against a good level of opposition and both those games were against Arsenal

Another DM embarrassment claiming he was better than Rooney :o

No really, that is just how completely average Rooney is. That's the problem, Rooney is massively more over rated than Ibra, I don't think Ibra is world class, or the best ever, just better than Rooney ;)

He's outscored Rooney in what, 6 of the past 9 seasons(ish), and his goals have contributed to winning is it 8 or 9 titles on the trot for him? Yeah, he sucks big time.

This is your problem you think anyone saying a striker is better than Rooney automatically makes them almost the best player in the world, that only stands if you think Rooney is actually really good.

In fairness, I can't remember Rooney being as truly epically crap as Ibra was tonight, but its equally as rare for Rooney to be as good as Ibra at his best. The difference is, Milan front to back didn't turn up tonight AT ALL, in the first leg when the team tried they made Arsenal look a joke and Ibra was outstanding.

DM can you describe a single game that Arsenal have actually 'won' this season rather than it being the opposition 'not turning up' or 'playing terribadly' ? :D

Not really, theres been a few, Liverpool turned up, thank god they don't have strikers though :p I think we could easily have lost that game if Bellamy had started though.

Seriously though, anyone who think Milan played to even 20% of their ability is blind. Simple passes, lack of running, hilarious defending, their best players basically not getting a single thing right all game long on top of missing the easiest chance of the game and resting(or had injured/banned) a couple their best players to boot.

They just acted like they'd won and probably expected a youth team who would just sit back and defend.

It's not just Arsenal though, and Milan only won 4-0 because we failed to turn up there, a ridiculous portion of the games between two top teams this year have been one team just being beyond ridiculously awful... in fact a lot of them have been two teams being beyond ridiculously awful, just one slightly less so.

Whenever he pulls on an England shirt :o

I agree that every time (almost) that I've seen him he's looked pants. At the same time, look at his goalscoring record in the last few years:

Year Club Apps (Goals)
2006–2009 Internazionale 88 (57)
2009–2011 Barcelona 29 (16)
2010–2011 ? Milan (loan) 29 (14)
2011– Milan 20 (18)

Can't knock the guy that much based on that!

Also, I love this goal:
. Just a shame he's a lazy carthorse half the time.
