UEFA Champions League/Europa League 6/7/8 March *** Spoilers ***

You'll have to enlighten me then because all reports that I can remember certainly spin it that it wasn't his decision to leave Barcelona

Do you know anything about him off the pitch? It's difficult to explain the phenomena that is Ibra.

I know he's a cocky prima donna who believes his own hype that he's TBPITW if that's what you mean  :p

He's that and so much more. He's an amazing person *wipes tears away*

I think it's safe to say it was a little more then a personality clash between Ibra and Pep, and well most other people he meets. They're just not at his level.

Ibra

First I went left, he did too. Then I went right, and he did too. Then I went left again, and he went to buy a hot dog.

Then Guardiola started his philosopher thing. I was barely listening. Why would I? It was advanced ******** about blood, sweat and tears, that kind of stuff.

I felt like crap when I was sitting in the locker room with Guardiola staring at me like I was an annoying distraction, an outsider. It was nuts. He was a wall, a stone wall. I didn’t get any sign of life from him and I was wishing myself away every moment with the team.

Lionel Messi is awesome. He’s unbelievable, but I don’t really know him. We are totally different. He came to Barça as a 13-year old. He’s raised in that culture and has no problems with that ‘school’ ****. In the team, the play is all around him, pretty naturally actually. He’s brilliant, but now I had arrived [at Barca] and scored more goals than him.

(Guardiola) was staring at me and I lost it. I thought ‘there is my enemy, scratching his bald head!’. I yelled to him: ‘You have no balls!’ and probably worse things than that.

That last quote did get a lol out of me :D

If his personality though is the overriding reason why he's never played outside of Italy for a number of years then ultimately rightly or wrongly they'll be people that judge him on the bigger stage rather than what he does domestically and at the end of the day the genuinely best players in the world play in the best leagues in the world for the best teams in the world (Serie A and the Italian teams in general dont fall into any of these categories)

I agree, he's over rated because he hasn't played in the Best League in the World tm! I say the same about Messi, he's not proven a thing yet 'til he comes over here and scores vs QPR and Wigan.

And there's another one of your problems, always far too eager to go back to sarcy comments because you cant provide a grown up retort

Van Persie was crap last night, have fun throwing a tantrum over that one :p

I can provide one, I just can't be bothered, if you think Ibrahimovic is the 'most over rated footballer' in the world then what is the point in taking you seriously?

Yeah he was disappointing last night. Good pen under pressure though

Do me a favour then, adopt the I cant be bothered philosophy with all your posts in the future ;)

i think you'll find lots of people do this and you'd do it as a fair reflection.

Rubbish. Not once will you ever see a Liverpool supporter (for example) say 'christ that was a dive but it's okay because Suarez does it for us', you'll be hard pressed to get a Liverpool supporter admit that Suarez dives full stop. Not many supporters will find fault with their best players let alone voluntarily highlight them for no apparent reason which is what jakeke was asking

Yeah, I never asked you to take me seriously or listen to what I had to say.

Not all fans are like that, you should step outside of ocuk, not everyone is like Purdy (who I'm pretty sure is borderline braindead)

lol liverpool supporters aside although (as jakeke says) purdy isn't the best example!

loads of united supporters were hating on rooney during the contract saga which wasn't all that long ago.

read my posts and you'll find i've been highly critical of all spurs' best players, including bale and modric. infact, the only spurs players i can have no quarms about all season are friedel and parker.

:o

Ibra is a great player, he was fantastic against Palermo at the weekend too. 15 minute hat trick :D

Barcelona might be the best team in the world but they're so booooring to watch, passing the ball around midfield for 90mins and then diving when anyone dares to try and tackle one of them.

You must watch a different Barcelona to me then.
