UEFA Champions League/Europa League 6/7/8 March *** Spoilers ***

De Gea has been fantastic 2night. Feel sorry for him.

Also watching De Gea shouting like mad at defense reminds me so much of schmeichel. Been a while since united had a keeper like that.

I wasn't aware... the Manyoo players weren't, either, judging by their reactions.

I only know it because of someone jokingly saying that Messi's header in the CL final shouldn't have counted because his boot wasn't on at the time :p

What a performance that was. Bilbao can feel hard done by to only win by 1 goal but their football was sublime at times.

Edit: Will watch a few more of their games in future rather than stick to Real and Barca.

Well, we've been pretty awful the past few weeks and a good team has more or less shown us up. I'm not surprised unfortunately.

It has to improve. This is just not good enough.

It was a pathetic performance from us but they also played well and didn't let us into the game. It wasn't a huge surprise given our home form and the team put out midfield wise.

A rather mad last ten minutes for sure.

It's going to be a really tough away game and I'll not be posting in a euro thread until then as things are about to get messy I reckon :p

EDIT: Also, De Gea was great today despite the goals.

If a player loses a boot on the pitch and they are involved in the play of the match they have to go back off to put it back on and an indirect free kick is given to the opposing team where the incident occurred.

It is an actual rule.

LOL at Rafeal, what a ****ing mug!

What a daft rule. I remember Gazza scoring with his sock for Spurs (against Arsenal?) back in the day.

He busted a lung in the 90th min to get on that safe from De Gea to score their 3rd fair play to him!

They really should have won by more they were brilliant overall and De Gea pulled off some cracking saves to keep it to a reasonable score line.

If a player loses his footwear accidentally and immediately plays the ball and/or scores a goal, there is no infringement and the goal is awarded because he lost his footwear by accident.

That's what I can find on here: http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/generic/81/42/36/lawsofthegame_2011_12_en.pdf - which I found on the FIFA site.

But I only did a search for footware/boot so may be more about it if read properly.

We were poor tonight, and were lucky to lose just by 1, it is going to be very tough for the away game. :(
Bilboa were excellent tonight, and i also agree, De Gea had a brilliant game despite conceding 3,
