he didn't do much more the previous game but what he did do was important. normal service resumed tonight though.

I agree with the latter part, I think we have to try Rooney and Carroll, as good as Welbeck can be at times he doesn't pose as much of a physical threat and can't occupy defenders like Carroll.

Rooney has done okay, thankfully he's scored so that's a good start. I expect better from him in the next game though.

Rooney only impressed me as he's actually run forward. Something that hasnt happened with any of our strikers the past two games.
