UEFA Euro 2012 - Group D - ** spoilers ** (England, France, Sweden, Ukraine)

Good performance to be honest. Happy with a point against France, looked like Hart got fingers on Nasri's shot too so we could've won it if he didn't trim his nails. That referee though, God he was awful. I won't say what I think of him and his performance, but I'll just say that the crowd summed it up nicely.
 
Good rear-guard performance from England against a superior French team.


Nick a point against the big team and then beat the other two. Wasn't that always the plan?
 
When I was watching that I kept thinking good coaching, bad squad selection. It seemed like he got the best out of the players he selected but there was still the familiar problem in not retaining the ball.

Disciplined performance though and pleasantly surprised.
 
Some good performances from some of the players today, Scott Parker as always giving his all, Johnson looked good, Lescott solid at the back. Not that much supply to the front 2 in Young and Welbeck but they did look dangerous at times.
Shame a bunch of our counter attacks were stifled yet weren't penalised by that ref.
Got to be happy with that really, Roy been there 6 weeks plagued with a few injuries not had much time and we managed a draw against a capable French team.

Did he give us a penalty kick ? Did he forget one for you ?
Did he send one of your players out ?

He may have been a little bit strict but he didn't prevent you from goaling !
And your players were really harsh on the man sometimes !

It was the amount of fouls he didn't give England, none of them bad fouls, but they added up. Also Cabaye should have been booked early in the first half, and kept fouling throughout the game

Yes he could have prevented Welbeck from "goaling" when he had the chance to run through and he was obstructed. The fact is it was terrible refereeing but your French so your opinion will be biased.

A good result that was. Dire performance from the ref unfortunately.

Hopefully now the first game is out of the way we can build on that and win at least one of the next two games and hopefully avoid defeat through the group stage.
