England's 4 4 2 with players standing a long way apart and no movement is as disappointing as ever. Feels like a repeat of the World Cup, if we escape the group I think we'll be given another hiding by a good team like Germany 
It's not Milner's night, take him off for Oxlade-Chamberlain and push Gerrard out to the right for a bit? then maybe switch to 4 3 3, see if we can't get a bit of control in midfield and retain possession for a bit...

He needs to calm down. It's more important to retain possession than try to force every half opportunity.

because our lack of possession has been so bad
not sure what the stats are but I'd guess we have had way over 50%

Milner has been poor, it's just that Young on the opposite wing is making him look quality as he has been dreadful. The thing is Johnson isn't really helping Milner the right hand side looks a real weakness.
England have had just over 50% possession, but let's not be arrogant - England are giving the ball away stupidly and easily too often. This is what usually sees us get punished after going ahead.because our lack of possession has been so bad

What an absolutely average group this is. For all the foreigners that we have imported into these shores to bring the level up the players still can't keep the ball, passing and moving forward.
Luckily the teams in Englands group are equally as ****.
