UEFA Euro 2016 - Round of 16 **spoilers** (25th - 27th June)

We chose that over Redknapp. Don't get me wrong Redknapp is an arse and a poor tactician, but he'd have gotten the team fired up and would be willing to take a risk here and there. But oh no, the FA went for another 'yes' man.

Hodgson was never cut out for the role and the most promising side in years had all the life sucked out of them before a ball was kicked.

To not even face the press to hold his hand up, or rant at the player, or do anything at all, is shameful to the extreme.

Who would people like as his replacement? I think options are fairly limited at the moment (but literally anyone is better).

I officially resign as an england viewer due to the absolute**** i had to sit through tonight, hopeless unmotivated ****s who couldnt give a **** about playing for their country.

I don't think anyone is. I just shrugged it off after it finished and walked away calmly. It wasnt a suprise.

Exactly. I've been following England for longer than most of the people on this forum have probably been in existence, and yeh, surprised at the outcome tonight I'm not.

English - Hoddle
Foreign - ???

Not someone like Southgate, people can talk about England structure all they like but no way in hell should Southgate be managing the England team.

I can't speak for the others but that is harsh on Smalling. He's had a fantastic season and has earned his spot.

I'm not saying Smalling didn't have a good season or isn't a good player but once upon a time we had Campbell, Terry, Ferdinand, Carragher, Woodgate, King etc. He wouldn't have got near the squad in their era.

This is the poorest group of players England have had in a long time.

FA should take responsibility for the failure and compensate those who attended :s

His player selection would have been better and inform players rather than injured cripples. And played players in there correct positions.

Whatever manager we get I hope he takes a look at Mark Noble and gives him a chance and maybe we'll get a stable midfield that can provide a decent service for the strikers.
