UEFA Euro 2016 - Semi-finals **spoilers** (6th & 7th July)

He was always just a decent striker for Munich.

For some reason he just shone in the WC stages.

lol, he's exceptional for Bayern, but he's more of the guy who runs between everyone and causes havoc by confusing defenders and dragging them all over for space for others.

He hasn't been good infront of goal but his movement is pretty normal. IT's the midfield for me for Germany and wide players, they've been slow and lethargic, I can barely remember a really quick counter attack or a throughball in behind the defence for anyone to run on to.

Muller is also slow, you want a Lewandowski for him to play off, he's about making 1-2's not picking the ball up and dribbling through a defence himself but he's had almost no support into the box.

Draxler has stayed too wide and held the ball too long all tournament. Ozil has constantly refused to play the early ball this tournament and has been quiet as ****. Kroos has done nothing offensively all tournament.

They need a Podolski either wide but will frequently get forward to support Muller, or Pod upfront, Muller wide and Muller will get in and play off Podolski.

There is a reason Muller off Klose worked so well, Muller works as part of a partnership, not a lone striker. There is a bit of too much Guardiola, too much possession and not enough directness, but also no where near the support from wide as in the world cup.

Like when Muller got that bad pass by Matuidi, he has no pace but no one caught up to him. I think in the end Can ran after him but was too far behind. That is where Muller shines but not in running but finding the 1-2 or the throughball for lets say Podolski. In that situation Podolski would have been breaking into the box and ready to score. Same way when Giroud was through on goal Griezmann was available for the pass but ignored by Giroud. Giroud is equally slow but has had Griezmann running off him, Muller hasn't had anyone.

Germany need to get their **** together and produce more strikers.

Aye. Muller plays in behind Lewand.

They have Gomez but he was injured so out of the tournament.

Precisely, they basically brought one out and out striker, is that all they have? Tbh I always thought Gomez was bang average. I'm just amazed that a side that produces as much talent all over the pitch as Germany doesn't seem to have any strikers.

The German FA have actually said they don't seem to have any strikers at the moment, not when you compare when they've always created decent strikers like Gerd Muller, Klingsmann and Bierhoff. You'd of thought that they could find at least another one though, proper daft Low only brought one out.

I think he's world class and up there with the best in the game in his position but he's been utter **** this tournament. Not sure if he's gassed or just woefully out of form but I wouldn't take him in the England team on current form :p

I wouldn't call him world class.

I'd call Lewandowski world class. From 2009-2012, Gomez was better as well.
