It is first class evidence for fact that shooters in Odessa were pro-russian if not russian. You can see "georgian band"

on some of the people who were together with the shooters.

If you spot the band and

You can go to war tribunal in Hague immediately. There is just no way such evidence can be falsified.

Bleh i said two months ago the more Ukraine will push the more they will lose. They should have taken a huge oil+money settlement for the east of Ukraine and Crimea to rebuild a modern EU member state in the western half and nearly bankrupt Russia short term for forcing all this mess. Drag them through the international courts.

Now they are going to get nothing because you can never move a people in the modern age, Deportations and Genocide is a major no no these days so you are stuck with a long bitter insurgency and look at the success rate of those when you are small versus the Russian army. Ukraine is run by aggressive but not so very smart people. Russia on the other hand is run by very agressive and very smart people. It it only a matter of time until they lose the east no one has the stomach for another long war except the Ukranians and the Russian sepratists so Russia really has a free hand as long as it keeps the dirty work off its hand with a rabble group of rebels with flags and haggard old women. What will Ukraine do beat down old ladies in front of the USA and EU? A forceful and aggressive band of old ladies is simply ingenius to take over military bases when you have the worlds media on you.

It doesnt prove that shooters where sent by Moscow, but it does prove that shooters where pro-russian. Although of course maybe they where hired by the Ukrainians to shoot the Ukrainians, or hired by the Russians to appear that Ukrainians hired them so that they look like Russians... :) Nope, does not work as shooters were accepted by the pro-russian crowd and where thus a part of it.

BTW, the chief of Odessa police (which allowed pro-russina gunmen to shoot Ukrainians over its heads) has ran away to Russian controlled Pridnestrovie/Transnistria now, further supporting this claim.

I dont think russia pays all of those "old women". Remember that russian pensions are 2-3 time higher than ukranian ones, same with salaries of civil service, teachers, military etc. Plus the language law thing blown up out of all proportions by the russian propaganda machine and the Crimea example where Crimeans have already started to receive their bigger pensions and stuff. Most "old ladies" ar in it for themselves now I think.

I think every one of those grannies is recruited by Putin personally tbh.

He is a crafty lil bugger.

Oh he is crafty all right! If he really wanted peace and stability, all he had to say that he will respect Ukraninan territorial sovereignty and will not accept Ukraine's eastern parts into russia. End of - pro-russians would have nothing to fight for. But he does not say that and its no accident.

Or you can say, if EU never offered the association deal, none of the problems would even happen....

I am sure I read somewhere that even Kerry said that EU is to blame that crisis in Ukraine went out of proportion since they forced them to chose, Russia or EU.

But "moving towards EU" plan was offered long time ago by Yanukovich himself and the backlash happened when he decided to do a 180 all of a sudden.

The main point is, Putin can end the unrest by stating that he will not annex any more of Ukraine's territories, but chooses not to.

If you had been reading the thread you would have seen the bit where I pointed out not only are those shirts readily available in surplus across all former soviet states, but they are still worn by the Ukrainian military, so extra easy to aquire in Ukraine and the defectors form the Ukrainian military already have them.

If you read my posts more carefully, you'll see that I didn't even mention the telnyashka shirts, I said that gunmen were wearing georgian bands and mixing with the por-russina mob, as well as being supported by the police whose chief has since escaped to the Russian controlled Transnistria region.

You replied to a post saying the telnyashka were not proof of anything by saying "it does prove that shooters where pro-russian", you may not have intended to make that point but that's the one you made irregardless.

If there's a pogrom against Russians in the Ukraine he'd be right to annex the east.

His back-lash was economically justified... The EU deal is x100 worse in money terms than Russian one.

You should add "in short term" surely (look up Russias growth over the past year, even before the Ukraine events it was at like 1% now down to 0.6%) ;) And even then the bigger pensions and civil service salaries have nothing to do with doing business, businessmen do not like yanukovic's or putin's courts and welcomed the move towards EU standards. Its a complex issue without even mentioning things like free internet etc

Oh yeah, sure there was a pogrom in Crimea and Putin saved his people there. Not really;)

Ethnic Russians have been treated like dirt in Turkmenistan since 2003 and Kremlin is still in no rush to put its troops there... http://www.economist.com/node/1901179

Aslo was Odessa fire "a pogrom"? Not really, pogrom is about dragging innocent people belonging to some group out on the street and lynching them. This aint gonna happen in Ukraine, not even with the morons who are in charge in Kiev with their partly nationalist cabinet.

I think all those grannies are lonely usually with no one to talk to and all this kicking off has allowed them to make friends and experience the outside world again.

I bet all those old bats are loving it

German media is now reporting that the Ukranian national guards efforts against pro Russians has been backed up by "about 400 elite mercenaries from the notorious US private security firm Academi (formerly Blackwater)".

Why don't they just pay people to go throw stones at Putin or poke him with sticks >.<

There is more chance that im one of the queens corgis and that I have just been simultaneously named lottery winner and Wimbledon champion at the same time, than that American PMC contractors are deployed in Ukraine

im not sure why people get all excited about these companies anyway - they are glorified security guards, Not SF
