At the bottom of the article, it says "This article was published in Novaya Gazeta, a Russian newspaper. It is reprinted with permission.", so it seems like it is actually a Russian news report.

Fancy that...it's almost like 5 pages ago I said this was happening and everyone told me I was full of ****.

Oh well!

Looks like the "cease fire" is just being used by both sides to rearm and solidify their positions anyhow (not really unexpected).

Not sure how this can really de-escalate, even if it loses support from the people of Ukraine there are still big enough hard line forces to continue a sustained campaign and the rebels (apparently) aren't lacking support from Russia. (According to civilians in the area an armoured column was spotted early this morning moving from east to west on the Russian side of Lugansk which realistically only has one likely explanation).

You are aware that RT is paid and subsidised by the Russian government with it's only purpose to spew out Putin's propaganda?

And speaking of war or words it turns out Europe has actually followed through on it's threat to impose more sanctions with the US making it harder for Russian companies to borrow money. No doubt we will here from Russia in the next 24hr's who will most likely ban flights over it's territory (going by previous reports).

what i find fantastic is how when there's something going on in the middle east for the alkst few years many have pointed to RT as being unbiased and telling the REAL truth that our media doesn't many of the same people now saying they're a propaganda machine

It's rather pointless arguing against vested interests, you probably get the most truth from the headers, the rest of the article was written with an agenda. No matter what agency.

I consider Al Jazeera the least bias out of all the news channels. The way their articles are given are more factual and for delivery of information rather than pressing of a certain viewpoint. IMO

BBC journos attacked in Russia while investigating reports of Russian troop casualties in Ukraine: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-29249642

Following the attack, we spent more than four hours being questioned in a local police station.

We discovered later that while we were there, back in the car some of our recording equipment had been tampered with.

The hard drive of the main computer as well as several memory cards with video material had been wiped clean.

Those pesky thugs, always wiping people's computer equipment.
