Members of our own Royal Family have been videoed and photographed making similar gestures and they don't seemed to be banned from anywhere, give the kid a break. A foolish and somewhat tasteless gesture, but he ain't killed or maimed anyone. Bernie Ecclestone of Formula One supremo fame has gone on record saying Mr. Putin would make a good leader of the EU, and he's not banned from anywhere, (well Speaker's Corner might take umbrage, however they're a singularly precious lot ;)), but generally he does not appear to be a persona non grata ;) The Wiliams sisters have a record of being involved with black power salutes, they aren't banned from international tennis...

Black Power isn't generally associated with the deaths of 7m+ Jews and other 'undesireables'. Prince Harry was dressed in imitation at a costume party. A characature.
This was a completely different context, especially given what his countrymen are currently up to.

The kid's fifteen, pumped full of hormones on the rostrum, geez, I have done worse at sixty and five, let alone ten and five :)

Oh I don't know, the smelling salts were needed in the Speaker's Corner when it was made public what Harry had done. Less so when that darling of the liberals in Canada was outed to have blacked up.

are we seriously comparing the actions of a 5 year old to a 15 year old representing sponsors and a team? what did you do, draw on the walls? refuse to eat your vegetables? throw a tantrum at bed time?

Cant have 15 year olds being stupid anymore. Ban for life!

I've no idea who this kid is but he's on a podium for a FIA event, its probably being televised and he decides to throw out a Nazi salute while there is a war going on in Ukraine. Shock horror no sponsor will want him anywhere near this series and I doubt any team will go near him now. How to ruin your career before it really starts.

oops my bad :p points still stands who was he representing at the time? if you do it at any job your probably fired for sure

He is not in a job, he'll be paying a lot of dosh to the team for them to run him I would expect. They might take offence at what light he has shown the team in, but but I VERY much doubt he's on wages. Ill advised, but hardly a hanging matter. Anyway, what do they say, about publicity? And there are employers beyond the EU and Europe you know? Some might quite rate what he did... Think outside of the box...

Are you comparing the black power movement in the US to the Nazis in Europe?

And this surprises no one who reads your posts

Don't worry. The moment that proudly self-identifying racist Chris Wilson comes to someone's defence, they're done.

Unlike you, most people aren't fans of Nazis. I'm sure there are people out there who would love to sponsor someone with those political views but there is no racing organisation that will want anything to do with such views.

Well one is trying to empower blacks, the other did empower blonde haired blue eyed people, so yes, there's undeniably some similarity in their activities, to deny it would be ridiculous. Like it or lump it, it's how it was and is.

In war nationalistic pride comes to the fore, and religious leaders state God is on their side, whatever the truth of the matter, so to see some young kid let nationalism get the better of him in a debatably inappropriate arena is either outrageous or commendable, depending on the side of the fence you live. To feign surprise and outrage is bizarre. If it were a Ukrainian gesticulating against Russia in the public arena you'd be praising him to the ends of the world.

or commendable

You do realize the late Max Mosley was president of the FIA for 16 years, and what his past and family history entailed? <LOL>

Nazi apologist itt. Cool.

Lets see now - You posted that you wanted to see the mass murder of 145 million people in a Nuclear fireball over the actions of say less than 10,000 whilst Chris said "He's a dumb kid whose done something dumb" (to paraphrase) - One of these is worse than the other, can you tell which one?
