Anyone saying they're the same should reconfigure their outlook on life, however it would be real cool if parts of the left/right who seem to perpetually hate the West would stop playing the useful fool for our enemies.

Their ideologies share much of the the same fundamentals (extreme irrational prejudice, extreme authoritarianism and the use of threat, force and violence as political tools as a first choice), but Putin has command over far more military force and has far more power within his own country and that makes a huge diffference. At the moment.

Did you fail to notice the entire sentence was framed as a QUESTION. The ?? should have given that away. Instead you got on your soap box and decided to wander off in a totally other direction. Calm down son.

I didn't fail to notice that. I assumed (and still assume) that you did it as a rhetorical device you could use in case anyone challenged your post. I don't think you genuinely believed or believe that two posts from one poster saying one thing are multiple posters saying something completely different.

The FIA wouldn't go near someone like him today. He got involved in racing in the 60s and with Eccleston rose to power in F1 in the 80s. The world was very different then. Sponsors money rules now and no corporation wants to be associated with fascists, well some Russian companies do but they are done for the foreseeable future.

On a tangent...where was the money coming from in the 1980s if it wasn't from sponsors? Genuine question - I don't know anything about the history of F1.

Well one is trying to empower blacks, the other did empower blonde haired blue eyed people, so yes, there's undeniably some similarity in their activities, to deny it would be ridiculous. Like it or lump it, it's how it was and is.

In war nationalistic pride comes to the fore, and religious leaders state God is on their side, whatever the truth of the matter, so to see some young kid let nationalism get the better of him in a debatably inappropriate arena is either outrageous or commendable, depending on the side of the fence you live. To feign surprise and outrage is bizarre. If it were a Ukrainian gesticulating against Russia in the public arena you'd be praising him to the ends of the world.

'To feign surprise and outrage is bizarre'

really??

With the horrors that are currently going on? I feel outrage too!

I actually am surprised YOU don't feel outrage.

Am i right in that certain posters are trying to say that BLM and Putins Nazi`s are the same?? REALLY??

I don't think so; I do expect Putin regards the likes of BLM and Extinction Rebellion as useful idiots.

where was the money coming from in the 1980s if it wasn't from sponsors?

As I recall tobacco companies were major sponsors.

'A 15-year-old Russian go-karter apologised for being "a fool' on Monday and denied any fascist sympathies after he appeared to make a Nazi salute on the podium at a race in Portugal last weekend.' — RTRS
"Standing on the podium I made a gesture that many perceived as a Nazi salute. This is not true. I have never supported Nazism and consider it one of the worst crimes against humanity."
"Severiukhin said he had "just wanted to make a gesture" to show gratitude and could not explain everything else that happened."
"I know that I am a fool and I'm ready to be punished but please believe that there was no intention in my actions, there was no support for Nazism or Fascism. There was no desire to offend spectators, fans, athletes or the team."

And that's why you put REALLY?? at the end?

When Finland joins Nato. Will putin have to call out more reserves to show force bolster the border or loob bad.
He's calling us out as Finland Nazi with Nato untermench. Will it draw resources away from ukrain?

Looks like NATO is expecting something - some really close eyes on Moldova and Odesa region, were doing quite a lot of ISR over the Black Sea through the night and while not completely unusual Combat Sent missions in various places you don't often see them such as off the north of Russia.

Bernie Eccleston's wife is still a major shareholder in the F1 machine... I would imagine for tax reasons. The current FIA president is a very wealthy United Arab Emirates figure, one Mohammed Ahmed bin Sulayem. I am not sure if or how HE might offend your sensibilities :)

You are rid of Max Mosley as he committed suicide in May last year, at the age of 81, after being told he was terminally ill. The clandestinely filmed "orgy" he was alleged to have taken part in was said involve a Nazi theme, but this was incorrect, in reality the facts were:

Mosley was the son of 1930s British fascist leader Oswald Mosley.
In 2008 he won a privacy case against the News of the World newspaper after it printed photographs and published video of his involvement in a sadomasochistic sex session.
It was reported by the newspaper as a “sick Nazi orgy” but the judge found no evidence of Nazi themes in his judgment.

But you may wish to approach Manchester City Council to see if they will change the name of one of the city's main thoroughfares, Mosley Street, which was named after his father, "when the world was very different". Such pushes for change could become a life's work, if you are so inclined.

History will still cite Max Mosley as one of the longest running FIA presidents.

*Ukraine President Zelenskiy: Russian Forces Could Use Chemical Weapons And Ukraine Takes That Threat Seriously
*Ukraine President Zelenskiy In His Nightly Address Does Not Say Chemical Weapons Have Already Been Used

Losing Finland and Sweden will be a huge irritation for the Kremlin knowing that NATO can finally make an efficient threat in the Baltics, I hope also that a huge increase in troops into the Baltic states (2-4 divisions) is on the cards as a welcoming gift.

I suspect the US will need to confirm the toxicology.

And so it begins.

If true, Putin escalates to mass extermination and extinction.

Would be such poor timing on part of the Russians to mount a chemical attack now. If the supposed new push for the East is still a while away, why give NATO the excuse to pump heavier materials into the country before its ready?
