Had time to take a photo and post it on Twitter.
Omg won’t you think of the children?!
Seriously what is this meant to be. People being ‘mean’ to each other?
Bullying is bad?

Are you being willfully ignorant or do you genuinely not understand why he said that? He's pointing out that the current US administration is so weak it's smart to do it now and not when he was in charge. There's currently someone in the Whitehouse who can barely string a sentence together, so Putin isn't remotely worried about America possibly intervening with their military, where as Trump was a wildcard so Putin could never actually be sure he wouldn't. That's the difference. Some actual ambiguity.

Oh look, possibly the most stupid post on the Internet that I will read all year.

Pretty good going considering it is only April.

Why do you keep mentioning a popular vote? It's not relevant, you may as well be telling me a football team that lost 2-0 on goals won more corner kicks. If the intention was to win the popular vote then the outcome of elections would be dramatically different because campaign spending would change to reflect the fact it's a popular vote. Why are you even mentioning vote numbers to begin with? I'm talking about Trumps foreign policy compared to Biden and you're accusing me of being a Trump fan and telling me he lost an election, are you artificial intelligence or is there a human at the computer?

My last reply to you on this.

You jumped into the conversation, a conversation about Le Pen, the French election and her chance of wining that was compared by another poster to Trump wining. This is where the comparison came from and its a terrible one due to how different the 2 elections formats are.

You seem to believe if the US did it on the popular vote Trump could have won because they would have campaigned differently. What you failed to consider is so would the other side and that side has an advantage in numbers already.

As for Trump and the Ukraine war, he wouldn't have lifted a finger to help Ukraine until forced to politically by Congress and public pressure in the US. By the time he had Russia could have already taken advantage of the lack of unity between Europe and the US and it wouldn't have been getting the intel from the US or had the administration telling both Ukraine and the world that Putin was about to invade. We wouldn't have had the immediate sanctions and their impact, he wouldn't have been calling nations around the world to get them all on the same page and form a united front diplomatically. This is a man that publicly called Putin a "genius" and "savvy" for invading and annexing 2 regions of Ukraine. He only changed his tune when it was clear this message was not remotely where the public were at.

European countries spending on NATO had already increased back in 2014. This was discussed in detail in the Trump thread a few weeks ago. Trump's NSA John Bolton said Trump had to be talked out of pulling the US out of NATO and he was sure in a second term he would have left NATO.

Trump is clearly drawn to autocrats. He is envious of their power. His own words "When somebody is the president of the United States, the authority is total. And that's the way it's got to be. It's total." Of course that was immediately refuted by the administration because the president doesn't have total authority. Putin has total authority, MBS has total authority, Erdogan has total authority, Kim Jong-un has total authority, all leaders Trump was drawn to.

You accuse those of us that criticise Trump as having TDS when your defences of him are laughable and you are the one suffering from TDS here. Thankfully for Ukraine Trump lost in 2020 and so Ukraine has the full backing of the US and her allies.

I have a very hard time believing that in this day and age conquering a country means you command its army, and even if you did the will to fight for you would be basically 0, Russia has captured at least 1000 Ukrainian soldiers are they currently fighting for Russia? I think not.

An invader would increase domestic support and perhaps able to surge an army in size, but they would have negligible training.

Then we come to the question of financing the war, which Russia would be unable to do.

Some will turn straight away, some will turn after a bit of time and some will be forced. Russia has already being doing this, as we speak they are currently recruiting new conscripts in Mariupol - they've done this in every area they take including Donbas and Crimea. As long as Russia controls the population they will start forcing them to fight for Russia, if you say no your family gets shot or go to gulag/jail

Or they support the previous democratic government that was over thrown. It’s as if the previous 8 years of civil war doesn’t count. Maybe it breaks the Ukraine one big happy democratic country narrative?

Men of military age in the Ukrainian government control are given an Easter Egg if they refuse conscription or try to leave the country?
