I don't get why Moldova doesn't just unite with Romania already as even ignoring the separatist region it's not like Moldova can sustain being sovereign for much longer as it's youth flees destitution. Only going to get worse as investment completely disappears and being neutral clearly won't save them.

I dont get the nuke hysteria. I was under the impression that most countries had anti-nuke defences in place. Yeh sure nukes are bad but they are not ever hitting a major target as far as I was aware?

Well, for a start, it's not a concept that enjoys popular support in Moldova. But Moldova is also an eminently defensible country, may as well try and invade Afghanistan, tbh, and with Russia clearly going to fail to take Ukraine, and probably going to fail to connect Russia with Transnistria the chances of them being able to mount a serious invasion logistically seem slim anyway.
I know this sounds dramatic, but would you say then that it's unlikely the UK forces will at some point need to defend the country from bombings by Russian air assaults, like the Battle of Britain part 2, and that we won't at some point all be running for cover into air raid shelters?

A single missile has multiple warheads, so say a single submarine launched all 24 missiles and each missile has 8 warheads that's 192 warheads the defences have to intercept with very little warning, the bottom line is there's probably more warheads than there are defence muntions in a single load before needing to be reloaded, that's why the only real defence against nukes is MAD because you're not stopping them all

Are you just assuming that the Russian missiles have functioning warheads sat atop them and that they haven't been replaced with lumps of wood, like their explosives?

I'm just saying hypothetically as we really don't know Russian or our own full capability but on paper at least, the nukes would saturate any defences, just have to hope that their nukes are as functional as everything else about them
