Russia don't want to deal with china - they buy minimum amounts of military kit then copy it and produce hundreds....

but the almighty dollar is used for buying the kit so they need the money

BRICS isn't a trade partnership - it's more of a economic organisation like the G7, G8, G20. One of Putin's ambitions is to create a lasting trade partnership called the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), currently only Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia have joined Russia in it. Getting back on topic, former President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych was going to sign up, prompting a popular uprising that ousted him. Georgia and Moldova were also offered places in the EEU however both preferred to go for EU membership instead.

The Chinese have been designing their own military equipment for a couple of decades now and it's pretty good. And they have a whole load of it.

Most of the Chinese kit is reverse engineered from Russian or western though. Often a combo of both. Just look at their new fighter

Aye, but that's why Russia and Western companies are starting to halt the supply to them. It's just not worth it when China starts flooding the arms market with cheap knock offs.

Chinese counterfeiting has come on a long way these days...


(While I'm being flippant increasingly these days the quality of originals has decreased so much that the Chinese knocks offs are actually higher quality parts in increasing cases :( though not upto the original original standard).

More likely to be a false flag from the junta itself, to allow it to 'cleanse' Kharkiv, or an attack by the Azov Nazis along similar lines.

Highly likely that the CIA or other Western agencies were involved somewhere along the line as well.
