Has the auto sentry machine gun made Infantry useless? Its all about combined arms - the lesson it appears Russia has forgotten. Just because SF units worked well in Syria doesnt mean they work at all in a much larger battle plan.

Seen the first video - either didn't realise or forgot if I did it was a reaction to Perun - I know it was a reaction to those claims though in general.

First minute he acknowledges the question from Perun - and ofc the pinned reply from Perun in the comments ;). TL:DR, for 80 years combined arms is the only way for each branch to be utilised for its strengths. Unsupported tanks = dead.

Eurgh this doesn't read well to me.

Potentially abusive men are using a UK scheme to host Ukrainian refugees - to contact vulnerable women, BBC News has learned.
The men, some with a reported history of violence, message the women on Facebook groups specially set up to connect sponsors and hosts.
Some refugees have also become homeless after relations with hosts broke down or because housing was not well vetted.
But a UK government official said safeguards were in place.

BBC

Pedofiles sign up to help refugees in these types of situations as well. :(

The Chieftain did a `react` to his `Are tanks useless` type video - the answer is the same as in WW2 - unsupported tanks will die. Yes the means to hard kill armour has been updated (Javelin vs 17lb er) but the ethos is the same; send a metal box with limited visability to an area where a soldier can hide with a rocket / barrell , and the tankwont last long. Sweep the route with infantry and have long range high ex death / CAS cover and the same mobile armour artillery is in a better place.

To be fair to Perun, he covered most of the points in his video, although he probably swung more to the idea that ATGMs are changing the tank calculus side of things, these were his takeaways from the End of the Tank video:

Unfortunately, refugees have always been vulnerable to abuse, and there have always been people willing to take advantage of them. It's happened in every refugee situation in history, and if anything is better now. The need to house large numbers of people quickly and the time needed to vet places they can be housed are in conflict with each other.

I'm not sure if it is still easily available (unless you want to pay for it, then its on prime) but there was a 2 series program called weaponology (history channel) that shows how technologies developed fell out of fashion and then reappeared as counters to other technologies over ages.
Some techs will come and go and peak in relation to others.
Offense and defense tech is a constant battle of evolution.

Combined arms is in effect that, you want to put up the natural counter to X whilst defending it with Y as much as you possibly can.

Interesting article washington post on Russia failure regards electronic warfare

Russia’s vulnerability was vividly demonstrated this past weekend when it was reported that Maj. Gen. Andrei Simonov, among his country’s leading electronic war specialists, was killed in a Ukrainian artillery strike on a command post near Izyum. The fact that Ukraine could strike such a sensitive position illustrates its surprising mastery of precision targeting and attack.

Eyes in the skies.... Russia did not follow the first rule of warfare.... The 6 P rule.

What is interesting is the next 10-15 years, Russia now has massive military equipment deficit and huge problems on capability based on what we have seen in the Ukraine. They have seen large brain drain of people moving out of the country, it really is a catch 22 for them now and they will be fully dependent on China for pretty much everything. China have them over a barrel as the saying goes now.

I have substantial suspicions that the west is ratting out russian activities to ukraine.

I dare say a ww1 artillery unit could also flatten an important location if a third party was sending them accurate coordinates and intel.
