Surprised things are still relatively quiet in Ukraine - few weeks back it looked like it might kick off again but then just went quiet.
Ha yat the **** has resigned, don't worry those of you wondering how he'll manage to support himself now he has no job I'm sure the shrewd and no doubt entirely legal though incredibly lucky investments and fees he arranged for himself will amount to hundreds of millions of €€€€ and will stand him in good stead.
If he's as corrupt as you say then doesn't his resignation reflect a national rejection of Putinism?
You bumped this thread just to post a couple of silly memes?
No they're not accurate, they're stupid. How do you think the US would respond if Russia was parking warships just off the East Coast and putting missile defense systems in, say, Cuba? Oh, wait, that last part rings a bell - didn't go down so well last time.
So all things considered, Russia's response to NATO's encroachment to the East (and practically on their border) has been surprisingly (and thankfully) measured. Just ask yourself which country it is that has been provoking the World's other two superpowers for years and then reconsider who is the aggressor in both situations.

With Russia itching for another go at Ukraine I though this was an interesting read on how the West is vulnerable right now thanks to a combination of decades of defence under-spends and fighting pointless was in the middle east.
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has prevented terrorist attacks in Crimea that were planned by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s intelligence agency, the FSB said.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR MOU) was preparing to target the Russian peninsula’s critical infrastructure, the FSB announced on Wednesday.
The infiltrators also planned to blow up a highway in the region at the time motorcades with local officials and federal authorities would have been driving through it, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported.
A group of infiltrators was discovered near the town of Armyansk in northern Crimea near the Ukrainian border in a special FSB operation over the weekend, the agency said, adding that fire was exchanged as the terrorists were being apprehended.

Seems to be some really mixed stories on that one.
Russia seems to be building up for a possible large scale campaign involving Crimea pretty seriously - whether defensive or offensive I dunno.
I wonder why that foul possibly be? Wont have nothing to do with Ukrainian forces amassing around that region... I'm certain
The Pentagon has identified eight staging areas in Russia where large numbers of military forces appear to be preparing for incursions into Ukraine, according to U.S. defense officials.
As many as 40,000 Russian troops, including tanks, armored vehicles, and air force units, are now arrayed along Ukraine’s eastern border with Russia.
Additionally, large numbers of Russian military forces will conduct exercises in the coming days that Pentagon officials say could be used as cover for an attack on Ukraine.
