Not that it really matters too much considering how little it will change things but surely if Belarus joins in on the invasion then it starts becoming rather awkward for countries providing military aid with caveats and starts making Russia's accusations of exploiting Ukraine more substantial, at some point the restrictions have to be removed up to possibly guarding Ukraine's northern borders.

Could see Russia struggling targetting Vatican City Kylew, the amounts of money they have squandered corruptly is criminal etc. Russia needs a Truss style takeover clean slate, its their only chance of coming back into the fold.

It would also give them legit access to fully support Ukraine. (Borders become somewhat irrelevant in this scenario so the whole Bela border directly bordering Poland and Ukraine would be open for Poland.

Would be very surprising of some of the other neighbouring states didn't start to join in then as well

Paper numbers mean little in an invasion, as we're seeing. The question is how Belarusians would react. If they see this as a Polish invasion, things would be very tough, if they see it as Poland removing a hated dictator, that's another matter.

I don't know about Scott Ritter (his name sounds like something from a Tom Clancy novel) but just a brief search on Douglas MacGregor would suggest he's take some shrapnel in the brain at some point and is prime bait for Russian propaganda. The guy is a bit of loon to say the least (from late August):
