That would seem a likely next move, a big push to the coast and the entire Crimean peninsula is in deep ****.

I was thinking the same thing. One plane could be an accident but two in a week! They either sent their mechanics into Ukraine, have really bad luck or someone is causing this to happen. Although I just checked and they're at opposite ends of the country so it could just be bad luck!

I think they just can't cope with the sortie rate and the down time of the aircraft and possibly lack of parts etc.

The Moskva was the pinnacle of the Russian navy. The halo-machine for them, the ship that should be at the bleeding edge of their naval effectiveness, yet it was taken down by a fairly small and comparatively low-tech cruise missile. The Moskva had about 10 different systems capable of defeating or misleading the missile and yet it just sat there like a sitting duck. A while ago a Readiness Report on the Moskva was leaked which revealed that the ship was completely broken and shouldn't have been anywhere near a combat situation. Most of its systems were defective, from their anti-missile systems to the generators. The HVAC system was also offline meaning that the crew were working in awful conditions. Again - this was the pinnacle of their navy. Then there are the various reports of Russia using old tanks and scraping the bottom of the barrel for anything they can get their hands on. With all that in mind, it's not unreasonable to assume that their air force is also rotting away.

It’s bad. Basically they’re warning the UK that our involvement is seen as direct in terms of escalation.

I guess it won’t be long until Russia look at doing what they can about our support for Ukraine. Nuclear, biological and cyber attacks that would render us into an essentially apocalyptic state. Buckle up guys, the end is nigh.

My advice if you believe what I just said is get a grip, go outside and stop reading the internet.
 
Well I'm still alive and it's pretty clear a lot of what's on Twitter is a load of rubbish. I'm literally 10mins walk from an airbase in Belarus that according to Twitter has been taken over by russians and Iranians to pilot drones in Ukraine. In reality there is absolutely nothing happening here. It's very quiet and I've not seen a hint of any military equipment or people around here!

They CAN hit Russia. Just not with NATO sourced weapons. The idea is to keep NATO out of a direct war. (I think they have used them a few times on places that are 1) Ukraine but under control of Russia 2) In Russia where distribution points and airforce bases are etc like Belgorod.)
