My grandad was under Germans and Russians ocupation during WW2 and told me lots of intresting story from that time but only one stick to my mind Germans was very bad but Russians mutch mutch worse.
My wife’s grandmother was the same. She used to spit whenever a Russian was on the news.
My grandma was russian. She used to tell us that partisans were murdering people which was not true. I only understood this quite late when she was not around anymore. Also she probably never questioned of herself to be born and living in a country occupied by ussr when her heritage was from south of russia.

The biggest crime Russian's did to Polish soldiers mainly offices during WW2 they execute them with shot to back of the heads.

Russia was also involved with carving up and removing Poland from the map historically speaking, Russia, Prussia, and Austria ate it up until it was gone.

I quite like my history, too many hours spent on EU4 where you sort of see how the world evolved since 1444.
Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth was a big deal at some point, but various lost wars and they shrunk a lot. Lithuania used to be massive, spreading all the way from the Baltic down to the Black Sea.
They are. They have stated they are, and shifted focus. They adjusted their requests to NATO/US to reflect this.
